@@Gaze73 it's less reinventing the wheel and solving a problem with just how easy it is to recognize a specific sound from a pool of them given enough time of use for example, half life 2 uses a plethora of stock sounds enough times that hearing those same sounds again in another game will catch the attention of players, possibly souring their suspension of disbelief making your own "fresh" sounds from tearing up vegetables and other props is a tried and proven way to make sure that doesn't happen
