Sure... but since my monitors are 32” or less I really wouldn’t see much of a graphical difference. That’s why I opt for 1440p higher refresh rate monitors and eek out more FPS from my graphics card. When I upgrade to a new card, I’ll probably still stick with 1440p. People seem to be obsessed with resolution, but honestly in some games resolution barely means crap in the grand scheme of things. Playing a game like world of Warcraft or ESO at 4k is kind of pointless. It pretty much looks as good as it “can” look at 1440p. Those aren’t great examples, but nothing really comes to mind, since I’m eagerly awaiting AC Valhalla and haven’t played much of anything for 2+ months.

I've never sided when it comes to consoles I owned all of them. I had my preferred ones of course. Ps1 over Xbox Xbox 360 over ps2/3 and ps4 over the current Xboxes. Here is the reality, the Series X has a RX6800 with 52 Cuda cores instead of 60. That's it. The CPU is a custom mobile CPU with "EPIC" features like more memory Channels, so it can do the "Quick Resume". Then the BUS is 320 Bit, so they are trying to keep the CPU free. Again, AMD makes the best bang for your buck.

I had rdr2 on my 2tb hdd, then got the upgrade. Not only do I load into the story faster, I went from 60-45 FPS at ultra/high to 75-55 pretty stable.

If you’re already doing ultra, an extra 20 FPS is a good benefit of faster texture streaming and asset loading. You’re getting better performance at something you can already do. But an SSD is alone is not enough to say, take a system that runs the game at 1080p and make it run smoothly on full 4k. An SSD helps with FPS on stuff a system can already do, but it’s not likely to unlock new graphics options that a system previously couldn’t handle. As someone who also uses an M.2, an SSD helps you run what you already run at a better framerate, but it’s not comparable to having a better GPU; the performance boost for me didn’t enable me to start playing games like RDR at 4k, just to play things at the same level I already did but more smoothly. I think that’s the fallacy that Sony fans are falling into here, an SSD is great, but you can’t use it as an excuse to disregard other hardware specs. In the end, if the PS5’s GPU can’t handle full 4k output for some more-demanding games like AC Valhalla, then it can’t handle it, no matter what storage device is being used.

In that case a fast SSD (coupled with a dedicated decompressor) removes decompression strain from the CPU (Cerny stated about 10 Zen 2 cores). It still doesn't make up for the GPU (no offload is removed from there), but the new techniques in which the SSD is utilized (not the SSD itself) can be beneficial for performance (that's very dependent on developer's implementation).

Ubisoft has confirmed that Valhalla will run at 4k 60 but I'm not buying it. I'm an xbox player but I am not holding my breath when it comes to 4k60. I doubt it will happen. It's not impossible if Microsoft and Ubisoft optimised the game to the teeth but I seriously doubt it will happen

I was always a little skeptical about whether or not FPS really make that big of a difference, but I went ahead and bought a 144hz monitor and upgraded to a radeon 5700xt and I was absolutely blown away. They weren't even exaggerating, Higher frame rates make so much difference. I played at 4k 60 and then at 1440p 144hz and I'd take 144hz any day. 4k just Isn't a big deal. If your'e choosing between a higher refresh rate or a higher resolution, go for a higher refresh rate, you will NOT regret it.

The reason behind ubisoft confusion is xbox is software emulating and playstation is hardware emulation. At least that is the reason sony gave for the gpu compute units. Ubisoft probably tried to run the games and they probably were not stable at the time. I really don't like how the ps5 handles the overclock of the cpu and gpu.
