@@spoodermanreal Alot of PC's can run it, it's mostly a case of waiting for the shaders to be compiled, PlayStation don't have to do this because it's fixed hardware,PC has a massive amount of configs, but hey simpleton fanboys don't get that. You'd be surprised how many stupid people out there on PC won't settle with certain setting just to play the damn game and make it crash themselves. A lot of games on PC just detect settings so you don't even need to do anything, Geforce Experience optimizes it for you, but some PC plays want muh super duper max settings for no real gain or because it's just there.

I have the gut feeling that Sony left it up to Neil Druckman to choose the PC Dev to handle the port and he chose the cheapest one. The Dev in question has a notorious history of shoddy PC ports and so the only reason I can think of why anyone would choose them for such a high profile game would be to save money. Granted, Sony would like to save money too, but I seriously doubt that even Sony would take such a risk with their most highest profile game. This had to be Neil Druckman's decision, imho.

I recall a whispered story where reviewers who dared give The Last of Us 2 a mere 8.0/10 were contacted by Neil Druckman, more or less asking why they didn't fully appreciate his genius. I know that Naughty Dog didn't really handle the port themselves, but if the story above is true, then I find this embarrassment of his game to be strangely satisfying. I think it's very characteristically telling of Druckman's team also included a self-congratulatory remark; to me it reads like they Tweeted: "We know that, for some of you, this game is not quite the absolutely mind-blowing and life-altering work of perfection that you've come to expect from us."

Hopefully Griffin sees this one - the biggest reason there are so few review for TLOU Part 1 on PC is because Sony didn’t send early copies out. Everyone who reviewed it did so with copies they got on launch day, which was Tuesday, March 28. Many outlets won’t prioritize speedy turnaround times if they had to wait until launch day for a code. What, is there an unofficial Bloodborne PC port? Last I checked, there isn't a PS4 emulator yet. You should probably just do what I did and cloud stream Bloodborne to your PC by getting a month of PS Plus Premium and cancelling afterwards, if you have good internet, that is. As strange as it is to stream a game that requires quick reaction times like Bloodborne, I actually was able to play the whole game without ever buying a PS4 or PS5.

Something interesting is happening with the reviews. They are going up on Steam, they are at 42% now with 11k reviews when the lowest they've been was 33% with 8k. The most recent ones are with 1-2 hours of game time that are saying the performance is really good on mid range machines.

@@turtleneck369 Well, I am not too sure about this because they released 2 *SMALL* patches, 30mb each, that literally did nothing besides fixing the crashing when the shaders are loading. The game runs like dog shit on my i5 10600KF, 32GB Ram DDR4 3600MHz and RX 6950 XT. Also, two of my friends who run much slower PCs than me, both of them having an Ryzen 5 5600X, one of them a GTX 1080 and one of them a RTX 3060 Ti and ALL of us are not getting more than 50-60 FPS with a lot of stuttering in between. We are all running the game off an M.2 NVME SSD so that is not a problem either. We are all having 100% CPU usage while the GPU is doing literally nothing. I am playing at 1440p while they are both playing at 1080p, but changing the graphics and resolution does nothing to the FPS. So no, I am pretty sure they did nothing with the patches.

@@TheUniformGreen yeah it's still very bad you should upgrade that cpu it doesn't support pcie e gen 4.0 and is quite slower even compared to r5 5600 for example but i am sure it does fine in everything else still for gaming but you would gain some fps and performance from 12/13th gen Intel or even Ryzen 5xxx series ,even better 7xxx series . Let's hope they fix it at least to some acceptable level.

First it was TLOU 2 being a disaster, with ND saying it’s a “masterpiece” despite the fact the customers saying it SUCKS. Now, we have a “remake” to a game that no one asked for, that got a PC port that sucks, and now NaughtyDog is saying it’s the consumers fault that it’s faulty? I’m willing to bet that ND did the remake to TLOU 1, because it was the only game that was successful. When the tv show gets its second season, Abbyzilla will be in it. Keep in mind, these major review outlets don't make nearly as much money as you might think, so it's very important they maintain good relationships with game publishers. Some of these publishers (Sony is known to do this) can abuse this dynamic by threatening to withhold review copies, which would seriously harm the journo's revenue since the review wouldn't be ready on release. As much as we meme about "paid reviews", they're not even necessary to do. Why pay for what you can get for free, after all? With all that said, Sony must have paid a bunch of outlets NOT to review this port, because there's no way they could afford to skip it. Even without getting review codes, they've had enough time since release to come up with a review, regardless if it's late. I imagine the truth will eventually come out, and it's going to be spicy.

If this was any other developer releasing any other game for any other system, the mainstream media would be all over this. I had started to wonder about the media bias towards Naughty Dog especially after they were all patting each other on the back over TLOU2, saying things like "it's too long, it's too repetitive, it has pacing issues, GOTY 10/10, greatest game of all time." Stood out a mile to me at the time, makes even more sense now. Now I'm not even suspicious of the bias, it seems to be very evident. Naughty Dog have gone right up their collective backsides, Neil Druckmanns ego has gone into overdrive and the media are right in his pocket at every turn. Media won't rock the boat with them as they stand to lose out on those exclusive interviews, early access codes, invites to events, free merchandise etc.

Naughty Dog deserves *ALL* of the negative feedback and thensome, even if everything went 100% according to plan, they tried to sell a 10+ year old game with a graphics mod installed for full AAA games price again... (They already did a remaster previously for the PS4) Funnier thing is that neither of these 2 remasters are even close to stuff that games like DeadSpace and resident evil did, and they still managed to fuck up so bad. Now I wonder whats next, TLOU for switch for 70 dollars ?, TLOU 2 remastered for another 70 dollars ? For such a mediocre franchise Naught Dog sure has been able to milk it bone dry and some.

Something I see not a lot of people mention is that it’s the remake version of the game, aka the very unnecessary version that replaced the already good looking models and added ray tracing, which isn’t even a year old. That alone isn’t worth $60, so for it to release in this state makes it so much worse.

The Last of Us PC version will give Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 version a run for it's money for the worst port. That's why games should never be $70/R 1500 even if the game is 10 years old.

Mishaps like this make me want to leave Sony entirely. TLoU was a great game that was only given a remake not just for money, but to justify the dumpster fire that is part 2. Then they tell fans to just buy a PlayStation if the PC port isn’t working. When a company stoops so low that they have to attack fans, then I’m out.

Why does Iron Galaxy keep getting porting jobs? They absolutely suck! Batman Arkham knight was more playable and it got pulled from steam.

14:27 test me , i waited 3 years to play prey 2017 and got it when Denuvo was removed . i have over 450* games and the library is not getting thinner , i can play or finish games i have in the back burner on my own pace , then later play those games on 50% sale when it the most fixed and sometime free updates . developers fight for your attentions and it should be that way .
