I’ll do you one better, I own a PS4 just as I’ve owned all PlayStation consoles, pretty big loyal PlayStation fan (notice I said PlayStation, not Sony), I’ve played and beaten The Last of Us, and to me personally yea it’s a great game with a fantastic story, but the gameplay isn’t it’s strong suit, it’s the most overrated game I have ever played, and I absolutely fucking despise the fan base. The fandom has always been an echo chamber where if you say anything bad about the game or you even so much as mention the underlying agenda, doesn’t matter if you’re being tame or constructive, you are labeled as homophobic, a hater, that you hate gays, and whatever else, so I’m not even remotely shocked the fanboys are behaving this way. You say one bad thing about the game or you don’t kiss its ass like they do, you’re immediately swarmed by the hive mind. I was already dead set on not buying the game when it came out cause personally I’m not that interested in it and never have been, but I figured I’d get it much later down the line like I did for the first game cause at the least the gameplay looks more fun, and now I’m not sure I wanna support it at all. Also one last thing I wanna add, I’m a simple gamer because I just love fun enjoyable video games and I’m not hard to please. I will take an arcade run n gun like Metal Slug or even a beat’em up like Captain Commando before something like The Last of Us, any day of the week. Naughty Dog and TLOU have always gotten more praise than I feel either one of them has ever deserved, and that’s simply my opinion. They’ve had their egos inflated so fucking high that they thought they could push whatever they wanted and in glorious fashion it’s all fixing to come crashing down.
