A pork shoulder is going to be very different than a pork tenderloin, so this cooking method and timing isn't going to work for a pork shoulder.

I just made this tenderloin and it was almost discombobulating how fast everything went...it's goes against decades of training! I got my Ninja last week and this is the first time I grilled pork. I am eating carnivore so this is amazing! It is resting now, but I tested temp with a separate thermometer and it is correct. It is delicious. And slightly pink in the center, so I'm glad you educated us. Thank you so much!

Great video. Very helpful. Only used my Ninja once so still learning. Can you cook 2 tenderloin pieces at one time? Or is it better to cook them one at a time? Also, could you roll the meat in pecans after adding the rub? Thanks
@TheSaltedPepper
@TheSaltedPepper 2 жыл бұрын
You can make two at the same time as long as they fit comfortably. If you rolled in pecans, just watch your temp so they don't burn. You might need to cook at a lower temp for a little longer.

@TheSaltedPepper
@TheSaltedPepper 3 жыл бұрын
Sure it is, you can make anything in any appliance, you just have to adjust the temperature and sometimes the cooking time. To do this in the Foodi PC & AC, I would preheat on broil for 10 minutes and then put the pork tenderloin in the basket and use the bake function on about 275-300F and cook to temperature. It will be perfect, I'm sure.

I just subscribed and noticed you have over 200k subscribers so you don't need my opinion, but I was interested to see you use the Ninja Grill. OTOH, when I was poor and couldn't afford gas for my stove, (or really even food; most of my food came from the pantry where I also volunteered) I cooked all kinds of meat in my microwave, at 50% power, including pork and chicken (oh gross!) but no, it was some of the best and tenderest (is that a word?) (ok, most tender) stuff I've ever eaten! But thanks for the tips, I will try it! (now that I can afford all the new gadgets like the Ninja line.)

How do you keep the underside of the grill where the splatter screen is so clean?! It looks new!
@TheSaltedPepper
@TheSaltedPepper 2 жыл бұрын
It is fairly new and I only use it for videos. I have one I use for testing recipes and trust me, it doesn't look like that! I have used oven cleaner on the screen, but haven't figured out a great way to clean the hood yet. That's why I don't do much with the grill, I hate cleaning it.

Hi Louise, I noticed you did not put oil on your tenderloin and it browned up beautifully. My steaks and chops on this same machine don’t get the grill marks or the browning. Should I quit using oil on it? Maybe that’s the problem. Hmmm??? Thanks And as always loves yah

Are you preheating long enough and on a high temp? That is really the key to browning and grill marks.
