I’ve just discovered your channel and am feeling inspired by your recipes! Probably a daft question but what is a spaghetti sauce? I live in the UK and am trying to work out what the equivalent would be 🤔 is it a plain tomato sauce like passata or does it have lots of flavours \ seasonings? Thank you and keep up the great content 🙂
@TheSaltedPepper2 жыл бұрын
@@ciarasheehan-obrien8021 it’s a seasoned jarred sauce that can be warmed and put right over pasta.

Looks great. I will try this recipe this week. What I love Louise is the the way you rinse out the sauce jar and empty completely the little bowls holding your ingredients. Some cooks/chefs leave so much of the food in the little bowls. No waste with you which is as it should be. I am new to Ninja Foodi and your videos have been so good and informative. Well done. Thank you.

My children bought me a Ninja Foodi at Christmas because I was going to be apart from the family for a year assignment. It was a bit scary because I don’t really cook. Learning the Foodi was a piece of cake compared to learning the cooking language and what spices are. But this channel at the Salted Pepper has been a blessing! Thank you for teaching me and explaining everything. The videos are very good and you are a great instructor with real food for real people. I just came home from work, tiered and hungry. I decided to try spaghetti. This was a breeze, simple, fast, and fun! Not to mention, it tasted so good!!!

I just made this recipe in my Ninja Foodi. I never would have put beef broth in my spaghetti sauce but I followed your recipe except for the green peppers. I watched your video several times before attempting this recipe just to make sure I understood how you were making it. I did make one mistake as I reached for the wrong can of diced tomatoes and got a can of tomato sauce. I still used the jar of sauce as well and everything came out PERFECT. I was so afraid it would be too soupy but it wasn't. The flavor of the sauce was great and the noodles turned out great too. I like mine more softer so I did mine for the 5 minutes. I love watching your KZbins for different recipes. I think my favorite so far has been the Asian wings. I did try your egg rolls with chicken and they were superb too! Thanks again for all your videos!!!

I used my spaghetti sauce recipe and your technique and tips and it came out perfect! I was terrified to put in that much stock, thinking I would end up with soup instead of sauce. It came out just like it always does when I make it in my electric skillet. Making the whole meal in one pot saved a lot of mess and cleanup too. I've also made your pot roast recipe, and it was delicious. Thank you for the awesome videos and recipes! I think I would have been intimidated by the Ninja Foodi, and you have made it so easy.

Made this yesterday. My 8qt Foodi finally arrived and I christened it with this recipe! Must have accidentally left my ground meat & ground pork in the basket in the parking lot at the store. Got home, -no meat in bag. Returned to the grocery store and parking lot-NADA, ZIP, ZILCH, NOTHNG. Then, I remembered I had a huge bag of the mini Italian meat-a-balls in one of my freezers at home, so I used that instead of repurchasing an additional package of ground meat. But, I must say, something MAGICAL happens between the Marina Sauce, the FIRE ROASTED Tomatoes ( Fire Roasted adds sooooo much more flavor than just a regular can of tomatoes ), and the tomato paste, when that pressure lid goes on. The aroma is sensational and the flavor stays with you, long after you have eaten! Def a Keeper Recipe! AWESOME! 👌

Thanks so much! Congrats on your 8 qt! I'm sorry your meat went missing... my goodness! The Italian meat balls sound amazing in this dish though! I love the fire roasted tomatoes and use them pretty much exclusively for the reasons you stated, sooo much flavor!

Pressure for 3, wait 5, reduce pressure, stir up and it thicken up by the time it was cool enough to serve. Served with grated cheese. Yum!
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
Sunny Brown I’m so glad you liked it! I’ve learned new things about the NF and you don’t have to turn the keep warm off unless you are going to let it sit for awhile. The keep warm won’t kick in even though the light is on until the pot cools to about 140 degrees F.
@syntraladeroute53725 жыл бұрын
I just made this the other night. I decided to one and a half the recipe for the sauce but doubled the amount of meat and pasta and it fit perfectly to the max line in my 8 quart Ninja Foodi. For a quick spaghetti sauce it was pretty darn good. The only things I would change is I would double the amount of all the spices and only pressure cook for 2 minutes instead of 3. I think that because I one and a halved the sauce part it took longer to come to pressure so the pasta wasn't quite as al dente as I like. Other than that it makes for a super quick and tasty dinner. Thanks so much for sharing your recipe!

Hi Louise, this recipe is off-the-chain delicious! My sister gave me a brand-new Ninja Foodi (ironically, she won it, and she doesn't cook!) My husband and I watched this video, read your blog recipe for it, got our ingredients ready, and then queued up this video again. We cooked along with you, doing everything you said except we forgot the teaspoon of sugar (optional anyway). What a success, especially on our first go-round! Later on, I made some plain spaghetti (similar to how you made the little "trumpets" in your pasta primavera video) using the ceramic pot insert and enough water to ensure pressurizing. After 3 minutes cook time and draining in a colander, the spaghetti was perfect! I'll be watching your entire KZbin channel -- I can't wait to try more of your recipes. (And yes, I did send some pasta and sauce to my sister's house, and heard back rave reviews! Too bad -- I'm keeping the Foodi!)

After making (and loving) this video I don't know how many times, I'm watching again today to add the veggies, mushrooms and zucchini, AND I roasted 2 bulbs of garlic today! Great tip about mushrooms absorbing grease. My ground beef is in the foodi as I type under pressure frozen first. Can't wait to eat tonight!

Ooh, also, do you have a recipe for Crème Brulee in the Foodi? I watched an instant pot video, it came out nice but didn't taste real good. 😕

You are an awesome teacher. I didn't know the mushrooms 'soaked' up the fat or that you could disable the 'keep warm' function. Love your videos. Going to make this soon :) Thank you --p.s. what if I want sauce just a bit thicker?

Thank you so much! You can add more pasta or decrease the liquid to 3 cups.

I made this recipe today and was very satisfied. The spaghetti was infused with flavor, I think from the liquid volume you used. BTW, I used beef broth since it was a beef sauce. Thanks for this recipe. I'm a 73 year old grandma raising her grandchildren, and short cuts really help, like the Foodi. More, more! Also the extra hint about baked garlic was nice. Will try.

It is a very good recipe, I hope you give it a try. By the way, I saw your first comment about it looking like a soupy dish, but it isn't soupy at all if you follow the instructions. Some people like less sauce to noodle ratio and they add more noodles, that works fine. It might even be possible to decrease the liquid to 3 cups, like your other comment suggested, but, I don't think it is worth the potential "water" notice.

First I'd like to say that I'm waiting for my Ninja foodie to arrive and wanted to get an idea in how to really utilize it. After watching your videos which are incredible by the way, I can see how easy this can really be. Loved your shepherd's pie video and yes I already forgot what your supposed to call it if not using lamb. Long story short I think your videos are amazing and can't wait to try your recipes.
