Thanks for sharing this how-to video. I liked the "letting it rest" for five minutes in tin-foil tip mentioned. I also appreciated Chef Lukas' admonishment, "put it on the grill for 2-3 minutes AND DON'T TOUCH IT." I think I don't respect that initial sear sometimes and pay a price in sealing in the juiciness. Gorgeous video showcasing the beauty of nature and our working lands in America!

I have not seen grass fed beef with that much white fat. Do you know what breed or breed cross that steak came from. Is that steak really from a cow grass only fed?

Ron - we shot that video several years ago and I don't recall the ranch where it came from, but it was most likely from Thousand Hills Cattle Company.

Had the grassfed twice from the same farm, second time got a half beef of it. Not better than grain by any means. I eat it because I like the idea of natural and being better for me but make no mistake this stuff is an acquired taste to say the least. I want to try some other farms to see how other peoples grassfed cattle compare. I like strong flavors, duck and deer ect. but this grassfed beef has been NOTHING to write home about.

@Vince Nav Not sure why I didnt mention it in the comment originally but my cows had been processed for Tbones ribroast and burger only (sirloin chuck everything else burger} So my comment was regarding burger only, the Tbones and Rib were in fact exquisite.
