Glad to see Vader getting some of the love and appreciation he deserves... Even though it's late. Better late than never. #VaderTime

I like Vader but he needed a wash. That is a permanent stain on his record. Dirt lingers.

The WWF knew what they were getting when hired Vader. The problem wasn't the weight, the problem was not booking him like a monster. He should of been squashing guys in 5 minute matches and instead they had him chasing HBK around the ring for 20 minutes and selling like a coward. Watch his match against Razor at IYH, the Kliq buried Vader the same way they buried Bam Bam.

I’m actually shocked Jim Miss remembers the length of time. Ron Simmons was WCW champion.. he said Ron only held the title for two weeks and odd one for him to all of those title. He had title the next clash of champions, Halloween havoc, even at Starrcade that year, Ron went in his champion. It was shortly after that he lost the belt. On the championship and then I think it was something like New Year’s Eve, or like the December because it was a week or so after Starrcade . So, Ron Simmons was champion for almost half the year. Five months at least.

I first saw Vader during his WWF run, infact I think it was 1998 that I first saw Vader when he was feuding with Goldust and they had some decent matches but then he got used as jobber to Kane and I always felt he could of been more... then I saw his WCW run and realized he WAS a legit monster and always wondered why WWF didn't get THAT version of Vader... but as Jim said, he was 3 years past his prime by the time he joined WWF, too many injuries and weight issues.

This felt like a bit of a burial tbh And I know JR loved Vader but how many times can we bash the guy for his hygiene versus his actual career. And missing the spot at Summerslam still doesnt justify Michaels yelling “MOOOVE” and kicking him in the head, you improvise like a pro and keep going. I wish Conrad did this episode.

He was just telling the truth. It sounds like Vader didn't want to help himself. I'm sorry he's dead don't get me wrong, but it sounds like he was stubborn and only cared about himself at time in both companies. The truth hurts sometimes.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer Conrad hosting just like everyone else. He really brings out the humor in JR, his voice, flow and cadence, I love a Conrad Thompson podcast. But Paul works his ass off and he's reading from the same notes Conrad would be, and I just feel like JR was a little harsh on him on this episode. Especially repeatedly calling Paul a "dirt sheet guy". First of all, how many podcasts has he done with Conrad that weren't outlined by articles from Dave Meltzer or Wade Keller? And secondly, good ol' JR calling Paul a dirt sheet guy is pot calling the kettle black. Don't forget, Jim Ross was fired in '94 around the time of the steroid trial for leaking insider information to Meltzer and Keller. He's joked about it with Conrad before, and said that he always read the Observer back then.
