A few days ago, I voted for the spellbinder and instantly knew it was not going to be the build of choice, so I decided to give the RATA a try. Started as a pet build and switch to DEE at around level 35. Not really knowing what I was doing. Anyway, LOTS OF FUN. I guess I´m gonna start again and follow your guide. I leaned a lot thank to this first video so. Thank You.

Neat, one of my first characters years ago was acid. I also have not played the game in a number of years and this might be a good point to try it out again. Just found your channel and the 4 minutes in got you a sub. Good audio quality, clearly defined goals and objectives. From a middle aged gamer dad well done. Now back to watching the video.

Acid Sentinel was one of my first builds after coming back to the scene. I did not enjoy the grind, but the build was still fun to pilot. I switched back to Acid Dervish after a while.

Straight out of the box, the Default keys for Potions are E for Mana, R for Health. I think it was this way even when 9 and 0 were set in the hotbar on all new characters.

For those liking having white items on on the filter for a bit longer. You can hide the whites and just pick up a magic items or rares for each slot as you go towards the first cave and when you get back and would get into devils crossing for the first time you can just fill the rest of the slots from the vendor outside. The gear is so cheap you won't miss the few bits. Personally,I like to just drop the white items I haven't yet replaced on the ground and let auto equip handle the first random items to wear :D

Oh God you decided to do that. GL HF! Keep up The good work :) Great vids. As for The build, I started it myself and used pets till lvl 45ish. Complete ass to level and farm perdition set. Thanks God you can transmute set parts in Crucible.

@@Paikis well still it is Just a microcosm Of what you get after lvl 100 and The amount Of farm you Will have to do there to farm certain legendaries. So I guess it is still ok. But when you farm on level 100 - you do it with a char who is at least capable Of doing its own stuff with pretty neat gameplay. But This build, it was complete ass to farm :) Should have speedlevelled it, But, sadly, I finished my first 100 char only yesterday and managed to kill Lokarr only once for now.

I made the ranged retaliation sentinel with full perdition set. It was hilarious to play it with everything dying and meting around me from acid and poison.

Very excited for this series. This build interests me a lot but I'm not interested in playing it myself. I just feel like trying to build a more better aura build instead of trying this one.

For myself, I tend to only put one point in DEE and go for Blood Burst , then backfill as needed. Early game, you're going to have more problems with mana regen than killing bosses, and Blood Burst does increase damage as well as AoE so it should be sufficient in most cases. Yes, the mana potion now exists in arbitrary quantities with a cooldown, but I still generally prefer to err conservatively. Having said that, being on Veteran difficulty does mean needing more DPS for bosses, so it could go either way. That's the good part about these kinds of videos, you can see someone else's perspective, and a demonstration of how it works out for them, and thus learn something new in the process.

Yup, and that's fine. If you prefer doing it differently, then do it differently. I prefer to have more single target damage early and fill out the clear later. After killing Viloth I'm going to double down on this and finish the main node too. It took far too long to kill Viloth. MOAR DAMAGE!!!

@@PaikisPart of that was the mutator point that gives DEE a cooldown. Yes, it's a significant damage boost per blast, but it takes so long for the cooldown that I generally prefer spamming the normal version. Again, minor differences in playstyle. By the time I hit Kreig, they'll both be capped anyway, so the differences are short-term and largely inconsequential.

Have not played with this type of build, Guess thats why I voted for it. looks like it is going to be a lot of work and fun. Just don't stand in the stuff on the floor and look out for things falling.

Did you happen to find a recent(ish) guide for a lightning retaliation build? I already played acid retaliation (but I'm still following your journey), and a physical/fire retaliation build, so I'm looking for something that helps me with lightning. I saw an old warder video, but that was not a build guide (just the level 100 character).

On the main menu screen, go to options. In the first tab in the bottom right is a drop down box next to the text: Main Menu. You have 3 (soon to be 4) options in there. Grim Dawn, Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods. Assuming you have both expansions.

Something like this might work. Resistances are fairly tight and not at all close to the overcaps you want but it should work OK. Could maybe swap the rings out for resistance rings. Lost a nice proc but it's probably better than ending up dead every time you get your resistances shredded. www.grimtools.com/calc/Q2zrLB42

Sorry, hope it's not to late to give you a little help for an build. You can try a Oppressor kinda build with RIghteous Fervor and this Weapon "Scion of the Screaming Veil" This Have +RIghteous Fervor points and points to Necromancer incl. Aether Damage and 100% Physical to Aether conversion.

I don't play controller, so I'm not really sure. This one will have 2 different skills to attack with, 1 movement skill, 2 buffs and a debuff, so maybe too many buttons for controller?
