Grimcoven is a miniature board game boss battler for 1-4 players set in a dark Victorian universe, where only hunt matters. Within tactical gameplay, you will take up the role of a hunter fueled by Lament (sign Grimcoven with your fellow hunters) and go on a modular boss battle. During the combat, strategically use dice allocation to move around the board, fire up different combos, and gather Lament to grow in strength. Build your character in roguelike fashion and try to claim the ultimate prize!

I really like the different environmental set-up cards, and how those add some cool elements of randomness to each scenario. That was by far my favorite thing about the game.

SUGGESTION: Please tell us how MUCH space the solo set up takes for the games you review. For example, at 12:27, You have everything laid out so you could tell us how much space this set up takes on your table. I know there are prototypes but tbh when games get to you, they are mostly finished and just have some minor updates in the end. The biggest issue is that when people ask you days, weeks or months later about table space, you might not have any idea what it was. So, in the future, letting us how much space the solo set up takes in your videos would be SO HELPFUL in assisting us making a better-informed decision. TLDR, so during set up videos saying something like 'This solo set up sits on a 36" by 30" area' would be PERFECT. Many people play on desks with limited space vs a table that might not be accessible due to family needs or pets. Thanks

Thanks for the support and suggestion Kaijuh! I use a 3x4 playmat for all my games. I’ve never had to go over that size of a space. All games filmed on the channel use that size. This one solo is about 3x3 comfortably.

@@RollingSolo Thanks, so is it unreasonable to ask to simply say during future set up videos 'This solo set up sits on a 33" by 25" area'. "About 3x3" isnt too helpful for people that play on desks with limited space vs a table that might not be accessible due to family needs or pets. Thanks

It’s up there but it’s one of those games where you have to keep your eyes on every nasty thing coming down the pipe to you. You also start to become a bit smarter about things each time too.

Great video :) Can't wait for a gameplay! Can I ask you a question? Standard version will have singla layer boards and lack of miniatures. Miniatures will definitely immprove the immersion in this game, but according to what you already saw, playing on a single layer board could ba a problem in holding all of the tokens etc. and so makes it less comfortable?

Thank you! For me I want the dual layer boards. I just like knowing everything is in place and less chance of things moving out of place. The minis are icing on the cake for immersion. See you in the gameplay video!

The player boards look amazing but honestly, they are a bit CHUNGUS. I wouldn't have mind them being 20--30% smaller. As of now they are half the size of the map lol

Looking at the Gamefound page, there are multiple response cards for a boss. Do we only select 1 similar to final action or do these all get shuffled together into the boss action deck?

Only one final boss card is used. Shuffle options and place one facedown without looking.

In the Gamefound page, they list multiple boss response cards and I'm not sure how you are meant to select them (See 9:10 of your video). Is there a specific boss response card you are meant to use for a specific Wanted Card?

From what I've read the standard edition will have standees. The minis are a gamefound exclusive addon.
