This song really hit me. My mom passed this last year, and she used to always say, "I'm a horrible mother so you won't miss me when I'm dead." But the last 4 years or so she really turned herself around. Actually apologized for what she'd done, tried to be a good Grandma with babysitting and playing. And to watch a pregnant Claire release "You'll miss me when I'm gone." It's. Just a lot. Because I miss my mom. And I feel cheated because we were both too young for her to leave.

The song plus the visuals of this video just feel empty to me personally. It's something that has been replicated many times before, it tries to be "different" and "deep" when in reality it has the depth of a puddle of water. Me, an intellectual listening to the raw audio files *Jaw hitting the floor* I didn't know half the lyrics were in the background until I listened to like, 2 different versions of her vocals in this song. Grimes editing is out of this world and like, I wanna try to do a cover, but my goodness, the intimidation! She just has this catchy music that is so awesome and she is really nice. Her style is better then a lot of other artists, It's a style I wish I could emulate. ;P
