Andrea Bigoni I use "Buff Tracker" to track my shadow barrier (major resolve and major ward). I also use Buff Tracker for other odd things like lich and blood spawn. I use "Action Duration Reminders" for the buffs on my bar. It's one of my favorite add ons of all time, and helped to clear my screen of the massive information dump that Srrendar gave me.

Love your vids One fact for clarification though, the physical and spell resistance caps are 33,100. That is exactly 50% damage mitigation. Each 662 phys/spell resist = 1% damage mitigation. Blocking is another 50% damage mitigation at base value. (Passives may increase this more.) Those values are multiplicative not additive. So blocking at the resistance cap = 75% damage mitigation. Im an end game pve trials tank and have tested those numbers myself. Not sure about the crit resistance numbers or if there even is a cap on that though.

Just came back to ESO after playing at launch for a bit. I love the nightblade kit but I'm really struggling to stay alive. I have 100CP and I get one shotted a lot, even in nonCP BGs. You can only roll and block so much... thanks for the video I'll try harder i guess.

ElectroMonkey luckily, if you're getting one shorted in non-cp then it mostly comes down to gear and experience. What sets are you wearing and how are the glyphs, levels (blue, purple, gold), and stats (in terms of glyphs, undaunted passives, etc)?

Mephisto hmmmm great question, but it really depends on tho you're fighting. The most important aspect of fighting steep tornado builds is not getting low, since steel tornado makes it difficult to recover. (Shade is great for this).

Well thank you! I've actually been switching up my CP a lot recently. My CP Trees: The Steed: (72 Ironclad) (38 Resistant) The Lady (37 Hardy) (37 Ele Defender) (66 Thick Skinned) The Tower (20 Warlord) The Lover ( 56 Mooncalf) (43 Arcanist) (23 Tenacity) The Shadow (68 Befoul) (40 Tumbling) The Atronach (42 Physical Expert) (66 Mstr-at-Arms) (20 Shattering) The Ritual (48 Precise) (10 Piercing) (64 Mighty) *I actually jut recently shuffled around some points so that Precise and Mighty are basically swapped. Now I have a 22-23% boost to crit damage and I've really been liking that. I dropped mighty down to like 10% since the diminishing returns are so high.

Benni B it’s all going to come down to personal preference, but I would pair impreg with a damage set for sure. You’re going to be getting pretty low damage in impreg/ Bone Pirate, so I’d only run it in groups. Personally maybe Spriggan’s/ Master bow. Same thing for TK/BS- troll king is more defensive and has great group utility, Blood spawn is more flexible and gives you a little bit of everything :)

A other question, 2h vs dual wield? I recently started playing DW front bar and 2h back bar just for buffs n heals and have been enjoying it. Rending for pressure and steel tornado for execute. Is 2h/bow far superior? Also I am in the habit of using leeching but think fear or shade would be better from what you're saying, any idea? Benni B heck yeah dude. Duel wield is all about that spin to win. I think 2H/Bow is stronger in more situations, especially open world, but in BGs too. That being said, DW can still work really well. You just have to know your exact limits since it’s harder to get out of tough situations. As for fear and shade- one or both are totally worth having (especially fear imo). I’d drop your gap closer for fear, and then choose between an execute and shade (as DW I would always choose the execute).

hey I know I'm a bit late so I don't blame you if you don't respond but I just have a couple questions.. I play on NA xbox currently and I just returned after I had left right after imperial city. I had a magblade before but just respeced him to a stamblade bc I love the combat style better. I don't handle it too bad and I can stay alive for a decent amount of time but my biggest issue is the rotation as I am on xbox.. Any advice on rotations on console? I know you are on pc but just any slightly simple rotations? Thank you! Love your channel btw

Brayden Dunn Never too late for questions! It's less a rotation, and more a variety of spammable options with a burst combo to finish kills. Have you seen my stamblade damage combo video? Nice vid bud. How do you get 21k resists in medium (even with 2 heavy)? Is that from cp? In five blue two purple even my stamplar only has 20,600 spell resist. Which back bar bow trait do you prefer? And does nirn beat powered for healing?

Jay Schmidt I have 3-4 pieces of armor golded out usually (I've golded most of my monster sets since I've had them for so long). The gold makes very little difference, but I wouldn't play in blue. I always upgrade everything to at least purple, and I recommend you do too. For my bow I prefer infused, since I use a weapon damage glyph. It's easy to proc with a bow (since you can light attack from range). Powered is much more healing than Nirn, but of course Nirn also adds to your damage, making it more well rounded.

How do you know when to roll dodge or block? I’ve seen you block meteor in videos, or roll dodge dizzying swing, and the fire stunning wheels (forgot name). You don’t seems to block or roll dodge with no reason. I for the life of me can’t see what’s coming next, when I fight an opponent, lol

Dream Matter that’s a great question. Ultimately it will come down to experience- knowing the abilities, which ones are dodgable and which are not, and how hard they hit for. The more you play the more you’ll know what the other player is likely to do, and what you need to be watching out for in a fight. If I’m fighting a magic user I’m looking out for their ultimate so it doesn’t get me by surprise, then once I know what it is I can kind of guess how long it’s going to be before they can use the next one, ya know? I wish I had a more helpful answer, but really experience is the key here.

bluegru well thank you very much! One tip I give up is to sometimes slow down your button pressing speed to give time for the server to calculate everything properly. When my connection is good I can speed it up, and when my connection is bad I slow down on purpose. It's a small tip but I hope it helps some!

bluegru another thing to consider is what your "weapon swap" action is bound to. I have mine bound to a mouse side button so that I can weapon swap quickly without removing my left hand from movement and ability keys.

I have mine on the Y button (GER keyboard) and no problems with it, its just that i have to press it multiple times during quick combat to switch weapons and sometimes it happens that it switches back to the first weapon (because of multiple button presses). The problem is less noticeable in smaller scale fights

Ahzidal Thrones I'm pretty sure that's just the shock enchantment. I can't say whether that's a glitch or not? It may have to do with how many particle/ texture effects you have allowed, etc.

J V A little bit. I've tried a few out, but I always go back to melee sooner or later because it allows you to fight many more people. The biggest disadvantage trying to 1vX with a bow build is the cast time of lethal arrow, but there are several solid builds out there.

J V I would run sheer venom/ vice cannon, with the master bow and asylum bow. You can cast snipe and then acid spray, and if your acid spray lands before your snipe you get the asylum buff to the snipe that's traveling. It's a huge amount of damage, and the DoTs generally finish off a target. Any combination of Hundings and Spriggan's is also always a solid way to go, and it's easier to get.

J V Hundings is great, especially as a ranged set since you don't need to do anything to proc it. I don't think hawk eye is great. Cost reduction isn't great, and the 5-piece doesn't give you much damage compared to other sets.

Border Sau that’s a good idea, but the problem I have with dueling is that it takes a completely different approach to open world fighting. Frankly the best way to build for duels is to use sets and styles that benefit only 1v1 scenarios. For example, heavy armor DW stamblade, and Pet Magicka Sorcs (using both pets and an atro) are waaaaay more effective in duels than in open world. I can provide tips for dueling, but it’s going to be more of a build video than a technique video, because that’s what dueling is most of the time.

Sure. I've watched others before. I've always weaved but i can't animation cancel. Like you do it so quick that it looks like 1 attack and they're dead. I have more weapon damage and i still can't kill them that quick.

Yes, I agree you create informative, detailed videos. But they're hard to watch because I have to stare, for many minutes, at a wretchedly hideous character. Yes, I know, there's a certain chic in that. But it takes every one of us more hours than we'd care to contemplate spent looking at our characters to build them. Yes, the character creator in ESO is a mess. But if the character does not look appealing how can I care whether he or she succeeds? I want them to die. Often. It annoys me when they don't.
