One of my friends called Julian was a extra on willow in the village scenes, I met Warwick Davis years back and he remembered Julian and mentioned that he heard Julian passed on, I said how did you know that, he simply said us little people have got to stick together, Julian was spot on and a great friend, Warwick is a really nice and friendly guy

Willow was the 2nd movie I ever saw in a theater. I was 3 yrs old. Robocop was the 1st and child's play was the 3rd. It's amazing what we remember when we are kids.

Loved Willow as a teen in the 80s. Today's sword & sorcery films although they have multi-million dollar special effects don't have the same gravitas as Willow, Legend , Princess Bride etc..... Another great video by the way Michael & Jessica. 👏🙂

When filming one of the Hobbit films, Ian Mckellan was in a green room delivering his lines to a tennis ball on a stick and he broke down in tears. He said "this isn't what I became an actor for." That kind of sums it up. They're relying too much on CG.

What a breathtaking place that was! Willow is such a treasured film even if it is slightly overlooked from a lot of the other fantastic films from that time. I love that we’re getting a new series so we can revisit that world. I was in Northern California recently and I had no idea about this location, let alone that it was used in Willow! 80s fantasy was the best. Films like Beastmaster, Neverending Story, Willow, and Legend were such critical pieces of cinema for our generation. I hate that the genre isn't nearly as popular now - and that ones that do exist seem to be too clean cut and lack the grit and darkness that made these types of movies so dynamic and powerful.

I have a happy memory as a kid playing in the village set and breaking the water well during a weekend break in filming in a Brocket Park, Hertfordshire, UK. The castle fascade was also there but was just the portcullis all made out of Fibre glass. As a 5-6 year old it was the ultimate playground! Fun fact! The Village in the movie is called Nelwyn, and which is taken from the town I live in which is Welwyn

I love Willow!!!! I used to live near Burney Falls. I am from the Alturas area. It's all beautiful out there. We always loved going to Burney Falls to enjoy lunch and the falls. I can't remember if you've been to Medicine Lake & Mt. Shasta but hope you got to check them out too.

One of my best mates was in this film, yes hes a dwarf, sadly he died in the mid 90s, overdid the drinking, was my drinking partner for a few years :( i managed to get back to my home city Sheffield, UK and say goodbye before his life support was turned off. He was in a village crowd scene and also you see his hand hand an apple over to somebody on a market stall, known him since about 1987, first met at a party in Chesterfield. R.I.P Julian Skelton.

Most of Willow was filmed in NZ. One of my cousins was a horse rider extra and got to meet director Ron Howard, who was even more well known then for having played Richard Cummingham in Happy Days than a director.
