Met him a year before he died. Had him all to myself at a convention, and he could not have been nicer to a brat like me who wanted to know all about his career. Thank you for this. He would have appreciated this!

George Romero is one of my favorite filmmakers. Let's not forget what he did for the city of Pittsburgh by filming Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead in the area. Plus hiring Tom Savini, Greg Nicotero, Judith O'Dea and others.

Before he died he was writing a finale to series he created. it is called "Twighlight of the Dead." An endgame if you will. It was in production until the strike. Let us all celebrate his life today as he was a pioneer for one of my favorite subgenres of horror.

Thank you for showing where George A Romero is buried. His contributions to the Zombie genre are great! I'm glad he always stuck with walking zombies, and didn't have them running in his zombie films through Survival of the Dead as his last entry. Thanks!

Oh my goodness that archway is beautiful, that was like an angelic moment watching Baby Ghoul walk through it, such a beautiful cemetery filled with history, so many people are fearful of cemeterys but imagine the history of the people buried there. Mr. George Romero will be forever missed and never forgotten! He is laid in a beautiful cemetery! I’m glad you’ve gotten to meet him in person and being able to go sit and visit with him now! Truly beautiful, thank you for taking us along Michael and Baby Ghoul! 🥰🦇💚👻🎃❤️also, baby ghoul dancing through the cemetery like a bat is so incredibly cute!!

I have a lot of great memories of George and he was one of the kindest, most honest and quietly brilliant man whose legacy in genre filmmaking cannot be overstated. Also, how cool is it that George worked with BOTH Mister Rogers AND Hannibal Lecter. Think about that. THAT is VERY George.

I will never forget that amazing vlog you did with Tom Savini at his school & then his House!(lol way2cool)👍 That was amazing and showing & seeing how Special affects were done back then. That was just amazing Mike & Jessica! This is Epic! As George was a true pioneer in the genre and a unbelievably surrealistic movie maker & visionary.....seriously who would of thought a slow walking zombie was scary...Mr Romero's horde or multiple points of attack just was friggin frightening! But also amazing! The Camera & the editing, special effects & George's way of telling a story trough the lens of a 35 Arriflex 35mm llC Camera in B&W. Wow We Just appreciate your amazing job on this amazing Man! Luv&peace Grims! Cheers to Continued success! Absolutely the best Grim content on KZbin & thats a fact lol Ty my friends😉! 💛✌💫

Nice video. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know how quickly & aggressive his cancer was. I lost my dad to lung cancer last year & it was really distressing seeing him worsen (that last day was extremely distressing), so I feel for Romero's family. I don't mean to try to make this about myself, but its just that you talking about his passing hit home for me. The Quiet Man is one of my favourite John Ford films. The small town in Ireland where it was filmed has become a tourist attraction which I'd love to do, but I just don't see myself getting there. I'm sorry to hear you had to give up your signed Romero poster. If hypothetically I bought it, I would gladly return it to you. I enjoy your videos. I hope you're both enjoying your travels.

What a lovely cemetery. I didn’t know he was buried in Canada. I believe Night of the Living Dead was one of the first scary movies I watched as a kid, with my grandmother nonetheless! It was on a Pittsburgh based program called Chiller Theater right after the 11 pm news on Saturdays. The host was Bill “Chilly Billy” Cardille. There were a lot of different characters on as well such as Terminal Stare. It became sort of a tradition with me and grandma. Great memories for me!

I’ve seen many KZbinrs visit his grave, it’s cool you got there too. George A. Romero was my gateway into horror films when I watched Night of the Living Dead late one evening on the horror channel in 1998, I was 14 years old. Games made a huge impact early on with Alone in the Dark and Resident Evil. But Romero’s work inspired my interest in filmmaking and directors. It basically turned me into the cinephile I am today. I have quite a sad story when I tried meeting George on my 30th birthday at London Film & Comic Con 😞. It was the last time Stan Lee was going to be doing a UK Con, because of this the queues were insanely long! After waiting for 3 hours in the burning sun on a hot 12th July, it was 1 in 1 out, hundreds of people still in front. My friends had to drag me away. I knew I’d never get another opportunity to meet one of my hero’s, and I was right. What a fool I was for not ordering tickets before the event, missed my chance. 🤦🏻‍♂️
