Soon as the BOV spits it had a slight hint of a hunter from halo before the stututus and I absolutely love that. My brz is set up similarly but u fortunately doesn't sound quite as aggressive on the initial letgo

Got it in went for a test drive and during a wot pull, blew the top end of my charge pipe right off the tmic and nearly shit a diamond.... luckily I think the clamp was just loose, and nothing is broken. Tightened it up and she seems to be running like a gem today!

I finally got mine installed but sadly no fancy woosh sounds with the OEM intake. I am also running TGV and EGR deletes so no longer can get an updated tune. So sticking with what I got for a while. 😬

Some folks have achieved that sound without the intake but it’s recommended to have the full effect. Just be careful. Some say flutter is bad and since my turbo blew, I agree. Always tune when you can. My tuner said retuning wasn’t required for the BPV.

Turbo inlet adds more sound on top of the BPV. I noticed a difference when I installed it

I just installed both the GS BPV and Turbo Inlet and don't get any additional swishes or more aggressive sounds, this is probably because I have Cobbs Redline Intake vs the one you have. At least I replaced the plastic OEM parts with better quality materials for longevity. How are you liking or disliking the Velossa big mouth intake add on?

Wow, that’s hard to believe. Not sure how different the redline intake is from the big SF but I would’ve thought that swapping out the turbo inlet alone would change the tone a little.

Just installed mine yesterday 10/11/2023 and noticed my peak boost went up .4 did anything like that happen to you? Mine is install on the oem inlet and intake, so no noises 😢. Is the whooshing noise due to aftermarket Cobb sf intake? Sorry this is my first subi.

What’s up man! My tune always had higher than normal boost so I didn’t really notice any difference with the BPV. .4 is nothing and I wouldn’t sweat it. A lot of it has to do with your driving style too. The intake is the main noise maker here. I would recommend checking out Grimmspeed for that. The Grimmspeed turbo inlet added more noise on top of the intake which is what you hear in this video.

I have the Cobb stage 1+ SF intake and tune and it allows you to hear the BPV. The grimmspeed BPV is just louder with a sweet sound.

May be wrong about this.. but isn’t the flutter bad for the turbo? Thought it could create shaft play easily with the stock turbos. Is it not as serious as people are saying?

I think you’re referring to compressor surge which can be unhealthy for the turbo. This is just the sound of the BPV/EBCS.

What intake are you running? My induction noise is already quite loud with the Cobb SF Intake so I can’t wait to hear even more great noises when I put on the GS Inlet and BPV this weekend

@@ronfromportland So I tried to force the inlet into place after not cutting enough of the red silicone tube.. ended up breaking off the head of one of those 10mm bolts. Needless to say the extraction was strenuous but finally got the car up and running. Sounds great haha

I’ve been hearing that the V1 of the BPV flutters and the V2 does not, which is probably for good reason. Definitely + intake for the full effect though.

I work for subaru those send a dtc for lean code if it's not tune properly. It doesn't work for cobb access for over the selves tune. It will void warranty. We can see it on CID And CVN if it was tune.
