Months later and I still keep coming back to watch this video. I have the GrimmSpeed catted and N1 dual resonated exhaust. I wish I can run catless but emissions in northern Virginia is strict. Yours simply sounds fantastic!

@@Alpha-lm2xx from (Western) Buffalo. It’s not a matter of what region you’re in, and more of the type of shop you go to. If you go to a major franchise they are more likely to do things more by the book(sniffer). Try going to a Ma and Pa shop and explain your situation. You’re bound to find one that will hook you up. Could also ask the local car scene in your area (via Facebook, Reddit, etc.) for lenient shops in your area.

While I'm a tad late to the party in making a comment on this vid - and i know i'm not breaking any new ground, based on the comments - but damn bro - best video on exhaust anywhere on youtube - hands down - STILL - been toying with picking up the resonated n1 dual to replace the stp cat back i have now - setup with an invidia catless J - for me - the non-resonated is a tad louder than i'd want to drive daily as the drone would get tiresome - have that issue with my current setup - thx for providing a reference though - and great shifting/ clutch work - wish i didn't have size 11+ shoes - hard to control the lateral roll from brake to throttle blip for downshifting (miss being able to heal-toe the old way) - spot on though!

I feel like my resonated cat isn't that loud. so I went with catless 1 piece. Getting protuned on 12th so all the supporting mods should help!(fingers crossed haha) But I was on the fence on the aos but It would be foolish not to with the Egr deleted. So all my mods I've amassed for stage 2 are all going on at once! Hopefully won't be too obnoxious but we'll see!

My pro tune really toned down the sound. I drove catless with killer b headers before the tune and the spools whistles and backfires were amazing. After the tune it’s sounds like a daily but I do have 390 wheel and can beat mustang GTs

I owned a 2011 WRX years ago and liked the sound. But I am now the owner of a modded 2107. I do not miss the rumble one bit. I prefer the sound of a more efficiently flowing engine over the perceived sound of performance. But maybe that's just me.

WRX JAKE I'm 20'000 miles in, a dozen track days, and I've had no problems at all. I built and tuned it very conservatively, with lots of safety mods so I'm hoping this luck continues for a lot longer!

WRX JAKE I just updated the video info to include a full list of engine mods. I did my first stage 1 tune at around 3-4k miles. It's a very conservative tune with longevity in mind, we could have got a lot more power out of these mods. Most FA20 tunes you'll see are more torque heavy but that's why they're breaking their rods. We're actually running less boost than stock and making the current whp/wtq without pushing the motor that hard.
