Dude you gotta do it! It’s a slippery slope, but isn’t that how all addictions work?

This is a seriously under apprected channel! Great content. Hilarious commentary. Keep it up!

I owe you so many beers Man! I just bought a wrx and I’m learning about them as I go, but you jumping right in and not being a mechanic is just awesome. It’s so helpful too.

Hey man! Gotta ask, could you do a video breaking down the price of the new short block and how much the install costs? Or even if not a video just break it down in a comment? An overall cost and what labor costs at your specific mechanic?
@austinfromtexas Жыл бұрын
That is actually a great idea and would directly address some issues I am having from trying to cut costs in the wrong areas.

@@austinfromtexas Hell ya!!!! Looking forward to it! Like I said in my other comment. I am a far cry from that much power but I did void the warranty. So knowing what I can expect from a new iag stage 2 block + install would be sooooo useful! Again keep up the work and have a great day!

How did you get the bumper back on one you installed the fmic? The pipe seems to be hitting the fog light bezels
@austinfromtexas Жыл бұрын
It does hit the fog light bezels. I adjusted and readjusted multiple times until the bend of the piping went JUST under the main corner. Then the bezel got lost on the highway. I had to buy a new one and use a cutting wheel to cut out the corner where it hits

@@austinfromtexasi installed mine last night on my 15 STi and same issue. I can’t get it to not hit the back end of the bezel. I’m going to have to cut out a small portion from behind it . Thanks man 🍻

I have a 2019 wrx with a catted grimmspeed downpipe, grimmspeed ebcs and a grimmspeed intake. Tuned on 91. After the green speed update on the Cobb tuner I can’t get tuned if I buy parts cause it will throw a code.. installing this fmic would need a tune?
@austinfromtexas Жыл бұрын
I also have all those parts and got retuned after this install. Still haven’t had a check engine light. The grimmspeed catted jpipe is the only one that might not pop a check engine light. Some people have gotten one, some not. Mine did not get one. If it does give you a CEL, you can try an O2 sensor spacer which puts the O2 sensor out of the exhaust flow more and possibly remove the CEL. I have a video coming about getting tuned after greenspeed. Grimmspeed says their FMIC does not require a tune, but you get zero power gains from the FMIC itself. Lastly, a wise man once told me “a tune is cheaper than an engine”

@@austinfromtexas thanks! I’m tuned on 91 pump gas with the parts mentioned, but I just want more. After the green speed update I’ve been at a standstill and unsure about if it’s even worth it anymore. My wrx is joyful where she’s at now but I just want alittle more. But I’ll be looking forward to the vids.🙏🏽👌🏽

Did you end up changing your fog light bezel on the driver side, im running into the same issue @austinfromtexas
@austinfromtexas Жыл бұрын
I didn’t change it, but I did have to dremel out the back corner. The piping is directly in the way
@kidzero1224 Жыл бұрын
@@austinfromtexas oh ok I'll do that then, my bezel looks the same yours did in the video. Thanks for the help.
