This gives me an idea: DCS Horde. You have 3-4 enemy planes per DCS player, all set a low level skill with moderate planes, then have waves of enemy fighters spawn every X number of minutes. Each wave has better planes and higher skill levels until you get to the end (or the "big boss")

From my limited understanding of SARH missiles: the firing plane projects a narrow cone of radar energy at the target and the missile homes in on the return signal reflected off it. While it is a narrow cone, it is still a cone, and will cover a larger area the farther it is projected from the transmitting plane. If there are 2 targets inside the cone then the missile would see 2 returns. IRL the missile might go for the stronger return or at least have a higher probability of going for it. I'd be interested whether DCS models this. Maybe it could make it in an episode of "DCS Questioned" sometime in the future. If you do decide to investigate, I can think of a few scenarios: 1. Proof of concept: Bluefor F-14B firing at redfor F-5 escorting bluefor B-52 (basically best chance of strong radar return from friendly leading to blue on blue incident.) 2. Various sizes of red and blue air at various orientations to each other and the shooter: targets hot/cold/flanking/mixed, red target farther/nearer/equidistant to blue, larger red/blue/equal-sized planes. 3. Various shooter planes: the F-14B is the only plane so far which has shown this happen. Do other planes capable of SARH do this too? That's a lot, and there may be other things you could test, so I leave it to you what makes a good video. Thanks for reading!
