Electronics appear to be making a revival. I suppose it's more sophisticated today than it was when it failed miserably in the 1970's.

bad pieces and good pieces with electronics. milton babbit got a pulitzer with a synthesizer fantastic piece. check murail own pieces from those 70's years with electronics which gave place to the whole spectral movement....electronics never failed.
