No the center street, the grass/open tree/nice house elevations around and above where you have free view everywhere THAT is key to grindelwald, if i wasn't prepared, i would have lost tons of time in the center street, luckely i knew the sweet sport at north side. Same true for Lauterbrunen. Murren, Wengen, Gimmelwald have more everlasting beauty since almost nothing blocks the view there.

Thanks, very nicely done! Brings back memories of great hike (we took the tram to First), in 6" of snow in early September, then walked down to Schynigge Platte the next day. Outstanding.

Danke Krystyna für den netten Kommentar. Grindelwald ist einer meiner Lieblingsorte, mit wunderschöner Natur und vielen schönen Aussichten. Ich empfehle es von Juli bis September zum Wandern zu besuchen

Hello, we visited too early in the year as the path was closed.we got to the lake in May and the path was snowed in and had to turn back. Never mind it gives us a reason to come back in August next year.

May is still to early for proper hiking in Switzerland, most of the hiking trails are opened in middle of June. August is the perfect time 👍

nice. how hard it is to walk all the way up? I'm going with my wife. do you consider it will be better to pick up a gondola, go to the peak and then walk down?

It's not easy Hike, you'll need probably 5 hours 😓 if you start Hike from Grindelwald up to the Faulhorn. I'm recommending going from Grindelwald to First with gondola and hiking from First up to Faulhorn, you still have 2,5 hours Hike and is spectacular 👍.

Hi🙂, you can hike from Grindelwald up to First, it is an easy hike for 2 hour, If now snow ❄️ you can go all the way to the Faulhorn for another 2 hours.

Mostly first week of September is still warm and perfect for Hike..And these days is still very hot.. have a fun in Grindelwald 👍..

@@karendream1 Was there september this year, the weather was basically what old times august would be plus some extra °C. 29-31° for mostly two weeks, 2 raindays, a few clouded, but louds (that barely move) have tendency to be above one mountain, not the other, etc, like we had crystal clear schyniche platte, crystal clear Jungfraujoch, etc. Mannlichen was clouded, almost all the rest we managed open. I checked weather and it did super rain day after us to recover two week! 28-30°, hell even oktober definitely in old times a 'collapse' month (half temperature suddenly to announce winter), was now 27° for more then 14 days. Important: if may-august have no rain, the mountains are ugglier, the grass is all brown, luckely 2023 was perfect year to prevent that, 2020, is full of video's with burned grass.
