Great vids! I love your style, showing the factual points along the way and voice overs instead of real time. Maybe I’ve become impatient these days but I like getting to the point or points. Your style is very professional. I’m amazed your #’s are thru the roof. ❤❤

Thank you very much for this; I recently came into an identical grinder and look forward to spending some quality time with it. Every bit of knowledge helps with that!

Recently started using a Xenetech rotary engraver at our work to manufacture new signs for the machines we build, and our cutters weren’t sharpened for over 20 years! Really cool to see how it’s done since I just recently got them all back.

I just found your channel and it’s a great learning resource. Thank you for sharing. If I may make a request, could you possibly show how to grind a square tungsten bar for machine turning in the future? There’s hardly any information about this on the internet.

A shop that I used to work at made those and they called them half-rounds.

if you need light engraving in a pinch, just putting a 60-75 degree three sided pyramid on the back of a 1/8 carbide endmill works pretty well, and is much faster to generate. mostly only useful for part numbers instead of decorative engraving though..

You can get broken and worn bits from a PCB making company. They are not wasted if you can grind your own. Got a few kilograms of bits but no grinder. Now I have a 3018 router I find a need for a supply of bits.

I bought a cheap diamond grinding wheel from Aliexpress. I'm very reluctant to do too much carbide grinding because the cobalt dust is very harmful to the lungs.

So, you’re saying with a bit of 1000 grit sandpaper we can turn toothpicks into butter engraving tools. I shall test this promptly.
