I don’t see the problem, if he doesn’t like the tournament. Why not say so, that’s freedom of speech. And they are ranked on prizemoney, so he would be crazy to forfait because he doesn’t like it. He starts in the second round,so even a loss is money for the ranking.

Wow, Gurney is the one of the most arrogant and unlikeable players out there. Unsportsmanlike behavior through the whole match (taking him like 30 seconds to get the darts out of the board after missing those matchdarts) and acting like he hit a 9-darter after every leg he has won.

I can understand his point. It’s only available to the 24 players which is a weird number. It’s not really fair on the players in lower rankings They should have the top 16 automatically in and 16 qualifiers get through to play against them

Don't think they need to extend the field to 32 players tbh, but maybe 8 qualifiers would do. Than it could also be a ranking event. To me 24 players makes sense, kinda the same at the worlds with 96 players.
