7 years ago yes its possible, but cutting discs these days are multi-directional doing it logo down is actually helpful if you want to quickly identify what type of disc is currently being used

Yes it does. It is lethal without one. I see many grinder accidents as a doctor and all had removed the cutting flange. This grinder is a huge monster with massive power.

I have seen 9 inch grinders with out the cutting flanges owned one and got a new grinder coz of that
