I just bought a Bosch SDS hammer drill, and I assumed the aux handle is meant to be used in the bottom position. So glad I saw this vid, thank you!
Thanks for the tips. I am off work now with a broken finger from a hammer drill kickback, was not using the forward handle at all. Good video, will reference it at work.

Absolutely important advice, indeed! I know how dangerous a drill kickback can be. Nevertheless, I have not realized that proper positioning of the handle makes the difference. Perfect explanation. Thank you so much!

Thank you! Looks like I've been holding my rotary hammer incorrectly all the time.

So how the machine comes out of the box it's basically fine for left handers. Injuries amoung left handers would be less frequently then.

Surely if the drill jams it will follow the clockwise rotation of the bit,not the other way round?
@dukerpal56453 жыл бұрын
The drill rotates in the opposite direction to that of the drill bit

if I'm drill in wall that what mode can I use?
@dukerpal56453 жыл бұрын
Well, I know it's a 3 yrs old comment. But since no one gave a reply, I will. Use rotation mode to drill into wood, metal, plastic, etc. Use hammer and rotation mode to drill into concrete, brick walls. Use chisel mode (hammer only) for chiselling..

Damn. All this time I never knew the handle was placed incorrectly
