waiting for next episodes is too long, watching this series inspires me. I start a new game with that same goal. Got the Locavore and Carnivore at cycle 95 (so colse) with just 12 dupe. Thanks to frankie the botomless stomach and binge eater. I got to torture him a little bit though. I promised him a comfy bed and nice sleeping quarters, bathroom and all the recreation stuff he wants later.

True, I would love a episode every day, I try to stay close to what he is doing and it sucks I can only play every other day or I get to far ahead. If I get to far ahead then I don't really watch any more.

Love the series so far, one thing to note is you'll want to sweep your floors of fish tanks from seeds/algae - that's why they are not eating from the feeders (and thus taming).

Use your dropoff priorities. 9 prio for ranches you want to keep full at 7 critters, 8 priority for the overflow set at 20. This way if a hatch dies of age in a production ranch it gets replaced by the next hatch before any go to overflow. Then if all production ranches are full, new hatches go to the overflow that's at a lower priority :).

Man thanks to getting inspired to try this challenge myself, I realised that I should always do carnivore. First game I survived in a while with 100+ cycles and without some sort of water geyser.

All meat including pacu are considered in the carnivore challenge. Also, I do not believe that there are any shovole on the smaller asteroids. The pacu ate what was on the bottom before you put the feeder in (when they were pooping and you noted it). When they are not full they will eat from the feeder :)

Man, I know I'm a pedant, but if you set the incubators to be active exactly 20% of the time why not have them activate at even 20s? So 0, 20, 40, 60 and 80 - that way you don't have to be looking at it and trying to place them by eye

The blueprint mod now works with spaced out. Can save a lot of time when duplicating a design.

When I got carnivore I did it mainly off Pacu. Had a fish farm that was very manual because I didn't have a mechatronics engineer. Pacu produce little meat BUT they do it quickly so it is very good source once it is up and running.

I'm playing this game since the base version was in early access all these years ago and I cannot believe HOW I actually never saw that I can limit the number at the critter drop off. That's not even the only thing I overlooked, so I have no idea how I ever finished a game with living dupes lol

I believe that nature reserve to the left of the grill/musher can be split into 2. If you put a door 2 to the right of the deoderizer, I think that makes 4 plants on either side. Then you just might have to do a little digging to expand each to the min 32 tiles if necessary.

You've probably figured out by now but Pacu tame over a course of like 10-20 cycles by eating from the feeder... but it's unnecessary unless you're trying to mass breed them.

I know I'm late as heck but for the time of day, as well as the amount of time, since you went with 5th's you made the timing really easy to set. I think you tried to hard to eye ball it and you could have used that 20% as part of the 100% and did all them for 20% at each of the 20% intervals. 5/25/45/65/85 or 10/30/50/70/90 or 0/20/40/60/80 most well rounded would be the middle one or the one that works around the sleep schedules

An idea for getting your 4th nature preserve would be to split the bottom one at the ladder segments. You have 4 plants near the current sign and could change 2 ladders to floors then add a door the other ones above to easily make it!

If you're trying to tame pacu I've only had success clearing the tank of all debris and food for them as well as adding half a dozen or more fish feeders. Idk something is pretty broken with them and they only offer a meal like once a cycle.

I think you don’t need to dismantle the ladders before placing the fire pole. The dupes just build over them :)

for the natural gas u can make small liquid block next to the mess tables room and build gold pump to get them to the generator, I don't know did u search it or not but it will save a lot of dups time if u did that, also little trick I like to play make the manual generator in a room with door, and make only one that can get there or 2 these 2 are the less athletics dudes to increase there stats

@@GrindThisGame They also don't fight back when they're burrow, I usually give them an overflow region with natural ground so they can burrow, usually a Nature reserve. As a bonus, borrowed hatch don't registered as being in the room for the critter limit of the critter drop-off. Don't know if this is useful, but i though I'd share.
