I own both versions and I definitely prefer the original. The extrait strangely does not last at all on me. It doesn't project either. It works great for my husband and is a dream on him.

This is the only one I layer and have best of both worlds. The extrait is heavier and sticks closer to the skin. The EDP is lighter and projects a little more, but not as strong, and love the fig in the EDP. So, I actually spray the extrait on first, then the edp over it, and have best of both worlds, and it makes this scent complete, and perfect, and only under Teiumpf of Bacchus, my favorite scent. I'm a masculine man, and it works on my skin well. Very smooth!

This is definitely unisex to me, but leans masculine more than the original. The dry down is wonderful. I just got a full bottle for $196 usd.
