Grishuk Platov 1994 Rock Around The Clock

I noticed that this performance was not uploaded on youtube and decided to do it :)) There's also a short interview at the beginning of the clip. Grishuk and Platov are the best ice dancers by now. And I don't think that in the near future there would be a pair like them.

They are so fun to watch !! Though technically, need perfection. Who can beat that fire and chemistry!! A perfect looking couple go wild, and nobody can stop them ... Where are they now ?

havfruen72, that's a great point! I believe Usova&Zhulin actually were robbed in Lillehammer. The Rock'n'Roll was very exciting and difficult, but rather rough around the edges, and I think the unison was not nearly as good as with U&Z and T&D. T&D played it safe and looked very old-fashioned, and U&Z just hit it for me, even though it wasn't as good as their awsome Blues for Klook.

Here nobody beat them because of the judges' games, and at least there were 4 fair judges, who had Usova&Zhulin first, the true Olympic champions. G&P are outstanding, but 'the best ever' is a very pretentious claim, and T&D are as good candidates for that title as G&P. I'm not British, but if I had to pick one greatest ice dance couple I've ever seen, that would be T&D.
