Milo wat ik andere tankrestauratoren heb zien doen, is de kogel / schaalschade zilver schilderen zodat het eruit ziet als een nieuwe hit. Ziet er zo goed uit. Milo what I have seen other tank restorers do is paint the bullet/shell damage silver so it looks like a fresh hit. Looks good that way.

koepel, sounds like the English word cuploa, which is an old word for a gun turret, but also means a small dome on a house.
@victor-emmanuel74853 жыл бұрын
A lot of english words are derived from dutch and vice versa. A lot of these words you can trace back to the 14th and 15th century when trade between the english, the belgians and the dutch was flourishing.
@daviddbh973 жыл бұрын
@Victor-Emmanuel and the Anglo-Saxons originally originated from what is now the Netherlands and northern Germany, and there are some linguistic similarities that remain from that.
@_Killkor3 жыл бұрын
Slavic languages use a similar version as well: Czech: kopule Polish: kopuła (kopuwa) Russian/Ukrainian: купол (kupol) Both 'dome' and 'cupola' were initially Latin words, just the 'cupola' became much more popular throughout Europe. And indeed, English language is a mix of many other neighboring European languages (French, Latin, Dutch, other Germanic, even Greek and Celtic). It was absorbing them like a dry sponge, across centuries, and eventually became its own thing we all know and love today.
@michaeltempsch52823 жыл бұрын
@@_Killkor "Absorbing like a sponge" is the nice way of putting it. Others aren't as kind ; "The problem with defending the purity of the EnglishLanguage is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary." -- James D. Nicoll 😁😆😜
