This is my favorite song from them and I had the greatest pleasure of my life to witness it live, even though it was not on the official setlist. I cherish this moment to this day even though it was about 10 years ago.

Um no, the song is literally about colorado. Ed spent time in colorado in his earlier life. there are details to why the song was written that i do not know. i think he spent time here with his father who passed. but i could be very worng. either way, the song is literally referencing the state, and it tells a story about what happened within the state; thats what creates the beautiful lyrics.
