There is something really whimsical about the vocal melody and ambient soundscapes. It reminds me of the way I used to see the world. A big mystery full of wonder and possibility. As we age the magic seems to dissapear altogether but songs like this are a beautiful yet painful reminder of a perspective of blissful innocence.

Most of their songs are about Ed Droste's bad relationships... This particular song is about him being unfaithful. I saw an interview with him in which he talked about this song. He said, "This song is basically me being an ass**** and cheating, trying to justify it and covering it up."

So many good indie tracks will be forgotten 20 years from now. I wouldn't necessarily call myself a Grizzly Bear fan, but I believe this song/video will live on well after the music scenes shift, as they always do, and forever will. A true classic of the immensely vast genre we refer to to today as "Indie."

It sounds like an obscure track from a 1960s psychadelic band. Especially with the little flourishes between the verses in the intro. It has a very "old" vibe and would probably sound better with the crackle of a dirty vinyl 45 added.

My teacher was trying to find an example of stop-motion animation today in class. She pulled this up. We watched it for about a minute and then she turned it off. The room was dead silent. I listened to this song and this song only for a month around autumn. I heard this the first time and it made me feel a way I never felt before. I've tried to find another song that hit me the way this did. Late night, got some bad news and told a friend, he sent me this song and told me it makes him feel good. I threw on some head phones and listened. My chest hurt with joy, I felt adrenaline rush threw me and I wanted to sink into my bed and punch a hole in a wall at the same time. I wanted to cry but I didnt know why. Even now when I listen I feel a little tingle, but never will I ever feel the way I did that night. Thank you grizzly bear.

Even sober, this song is amazing. Something about this band is incredibly addicting. It's odd, obscure, melodic, but all around AWESOME. it's also highly addicting, and it only gets more addicting the more you listen to it. I woke up this morning, and THIS song was in my head. Listening to other music on the way to work didn't even help. I kept hearing this song in my head.. and that shit was LOUD.

If you like it for the dreamy feeling it gives there is a band called Candy Claws, but they now go by Sound of Ceres. I would suggest looking up Candy Claws White Seal or Candy Claws Transitional Bird, White Seal is pretty intense.
