Another awesome job. Get an extra bladder and fill with Piña colada, run the pumped hose line to a tap in your cab. BOOM. Perfect for those long Nullarbor drives :-)

great ideas for having flexible water resources ! but keep all hoses, valves, specially the ones you‘ve shown at the underbody of the truck, well protected from stones, mud, ..... travels on gravel roads will create severe damage to all unprotected parts. but I‘ m sure as an aussi you know this very well.... Looking forward to watching the session with 4wheeling australia 😎

Hi guys. Good system. Just a tip re the hose fitting ends. I click in a stopper which can be a male click in fitting that is filled with sealant. This will keep the connection ends clean of dirt, dust etc. Cheers.

Nice and simple, I'd suggest some heat shrink on the electrical connectors, to keep the dust and any water out

You might find yourself having to use bore water here in Australia...the dissolved minerals quickly clog carbon filters - The Thirsty Nomad have a bore water filter (with cheap replaceable cartridges) that will help reduce mineral load and extend the life of your other water treatment components.

Hey mate loving the videos, and the upgrades you are doing. One thing to keep in the back of your head is the dust depending on where you are planning on driving through. For example that switch you've got near your filters may get clogged up and stop working. Also do an inspection under a magnifying glass of all your seals. In some places the dust is like Talc powder. Best of luck and safe travels.

You had better check that the small diaphragm pump will lift water as you said you would plan to pump, such as from a dam, especially with a long suction hose like that. Perhaps ok if you can prime it, such as from the top, but a lightly sprung footer valve may also be required. Rob P.

Probably better than bottled water especially if it's been sitting in the sun. Could you flush the hoses before sucking water? I'd like clear hoses for drinking water if possible.

I’ve struggled to get my 12v pump’s suction strong enough to get water out of the long hose required when sourcing from a lake or river. Any issues getting the water flow going?

hope those connectors under the cab are temporary or have a metal bash protection not yet installed, or are removable.

can you also explain why you do all these mods now? is it specific for Aussie travel? I understand the remoteness of the outback but you been remote before.. or is it different now?

Awesome stuff!! What pump are you running? often if any water gets inside the cheap dc motors they'll die very quickly.

Great modification! Can this system be used manually if the electric pump fails? Also, if I am correct the total weight of your water equates to 170kg! So not too bad! It's about the weight of two large adult males!

Looking at your water system those zip(cable) ties will not survive the first run on the corrugations you need to get some heavy duty solid mounts to hold the pipes coming each side of the pump, and where you have that standard hose connector pointing straight out the wheel so all the dust stones and other debris will be bombarding it with the great possibility of it failing thus the possibility it could syphon off the water at that connector, hope you do not mind me pointing this out as the garden hose fitting s are not that robust you would be better off with a brass fitting either a normal tap or an ball valve tap as these are far better even if it does mean you have to screw the hose to the tap far more robust as the hose will have either the threaded part or than you screw on the quick fit connector, just going on things that have let me down on the road. I have just re-watched this and that switch will soon fill with dust you know the talc type or and water will get in you need to have a sealed switch a rubber cover or a good quality weather proof one, OK I think that is it just need to watch the one's I might have missed due to work load.

other question: you have 50l tank (rear seats), 60l bladder and 80l main tank... I understand that spreading the water means less loss in case of the leak, but you carry 190l of water.... all drinkable... what are the plans? camp in the dessert for 4 months 😳😂😂 it seems like a very lot to me?

Great Video! 'Water supply" is also something that I have been thinking about a lot during the last week's! Do you plan to recycle your waste water (washing dishes, shower etc.) as well? I understand from this video that you have already all the parts to do so (maybe an extra sand filter and waste water tank might be required). Regards Bernd
