The producer always put Joe to fall in love because he was the youngest, and as a bonanza it was a series that did not follow the episodes, each episode was different because they forgot the previous script. I think that was the fault of the producer who did not want women in the ponderous

LOL. Truth! happy this time there was one that did NOT die. They really do NOT want any FULL TIME ladies on this show. I think that is what draws people to the show, "meeting and losing love, and moving on, and being alone again" hahahaha.

I second that,, after he sang it the lyrics were changed and even though it was sung 2 or 3 times after Adam sang it , for me his version was the very best, also ( and plus please try not to think of me being insensitive because I don't mean to) I would be thinking thanks but no thanks just give me the Adam Cartwright version every step of the way

I really love how Little Joe became a huge elegant gentleman by knowing and giving this redheaded beauty her freedom by loving her so much he knew he had to set her free, to follow her dreams. And of course, his family fully supported his all. This is so touching and beautiful it influences my emotional content to tears.

Man those Cartwright boys loved with every fibre of their being , and ever so quickly too . Only in the movies folks , well in this case only on a television series . Good old Bonanza and the women they never get to live happily ever after with .........sigh. I loved Bonanza however there were times when I would have loved to have seen a permanent female cast member . Oh well I guess they figured why tamper with the golden goose . Bonanza was a huge success that ran a long long time just as it was . It really was one of television's greatest shows ever produced . Thank you for this episode.

Excellent episode about the business... Art is what it is: fickle as hell, and ever so sweet. For some artists, it doesn't matter how good you are. You know your passion, it is your treasure. No matter what, you do your passion. You find a way, and create your love. Whether you are good or not, becomes irrelevant. In the case of Hollywood, there were many artists that "weren't good enough." That did not stop them... I know.

She’s older for sure, so I think that the reason they make Joe look older by his hairstyle in this episode. They aren’t a cute couple, not because of their older/younger look, but it’s a lack of chemistry significant enough to make them a perfect couple.

Didn't 't the little boy play Doris Day's son on The Doris Day Show? I think his name is Todd Stark.
