Su-27 is simply the sexiest plane ever built. The original game with its unshaded polygons was one of my favorite sims of all time :)

This is one of, if not my favorite plane ever. An absolute beautiful aircraft. Though, I do find the two seater more sexy then the single seater.

That helmet mounted sight is a literal gamechanger in dogfights, its amazing US planes still dont have one.

Most of my plus points have been already mentioned. So my minus point -- that arrow was a bit hard to see, in the last videos the bit bolder and longer showing arrows were better. I almost missed it, and would've had no clue where to look for.

Modern day jets use tracers for dogfight? I mean, if they have to use guns do they need tracers? Computer and radar automatically calculate range of the target and deflection no?

+Adeptus Plebus Tracers still have their uses. It never hurts to have a backup in case that fancy radar or computer doesn't work. They are also great for warning shots.

+Adeptus Plebus Tracers are used so the pilot can still engage targets even if the targeting systems or radar get damaged/aren't effective/stop working for some other reason, I assume.

Hmm, A-10's don't use tracers so i thought that fighters also don't use them.

+Adeptus Plebus You might not always have a lock on the target though. Most of the 30mm Gsh-301 rounds have tracers, but not all.

Some impressive low flying there! The one suggestion I'd make is that you'd have a much smoother flight, and easier time controlling it, if you didn't fly around in afterburner all the time. Particularly now that over-G can destroy your airframe.

+funcounting It has PvP but the A-A missile physics are utter crap ATM. I wouldn't recommend anything other than CA 1.5or attack helicopter/plane battles.

Very nice video :) I am spending hours trying to learn how to avoid missled from F-15 1vs2 or 2vs3 but most of the time F-15 wins, I can avoid like 3 missled but they are lunching them so many so sooner or later they hit me :/

This thing is a total beast but it comes with a very high cost in flight stability and the workload (not to mention skill) needed to operate it. No matter what stupid shit I've done, I haven't been able to put the F-15C into an unrecoverable stall yet. Su-27 on the other hand.............................................................. well let's just say I've had to clean quite a bit of egg off my face. I also absolutely hate how much I have to trim this plane just to keep it on the straight and narrow. I can't find a way to adjust sensitivity/dead zone/etc. for the trim-with-stick mode, so it takes an enormous amount of throw to actually have it register my input and adjust the trim that way and then when it does actuate it is FAR too sensitive. I don't have trim wheels on my HOTAS so the only other option is buttons which is also quite a bit too sensitive for me.

+Archangel1991 The Su-27 and Mig-29 were developed at the same time, with the Su-27 being the larger longer range fighter, counterpart to the F-15 and the Mig-29 being a smaller and shorter range counterpart. The Mig because it is cheaper is more common today.

It's really annoying to hear the F15 G and AOA warning in every plane in DCS. I wonder why is this a thing? In LOMAC russian planes used their proper russian warnings

Angezerus. there is an option in dcs where you can chose for national instruments, but its only good if you know what the russian voice is saying
