My mom passed 18 years ago in February. The last Thanksgiving we had with her I went to her house the Wednesday before to help make pies. Between us we spent the day baking and then the next day we picked her (and the pies) up for dinner at my brothers house. Didn’t know it was our last Thanksgiving with her but it was, and I always think of it this time of year

As I’m British, why are sweet potatoes topped with marshmallows and toasted? Just very confused.
@lindamcgorman75152 күн бұрын
It’s one of those over the top American recipes🤣🤣 we seem to love to find a way to make a healthy item (sweet potatoes) unhealthy. It’s usually only eaten at Thanksgiving or Christmas but I personally find them disgusting, way too sweet!!!! Have you ever seen our cranberry sauce in a can? I’m guessing they don’t have it in England

There's NEVER enough pumpkin pie! Those and the sides are my go-to for Thanksgiving Day for sure. As far as the turkey prices: Target is likely cheaper than Aldi as their price/lb. is $0;79-$0;99. But I think overall, the sides and vegetables at Aldi are cheaper which makes shopping at Aldi more economic anyways. As always, thanks for showing us around!
