GROG Squeezer Full METAL Paint REVIEW and TEST

These mops come in a range of sizes and so I grabbed a 10 and 25 mm versions.

---Summary---
These mops worked really well on smooth surfaces like metal. They are somewhat in the middle of high staining alcohol mops and your traditional acrylic paint mops. They are alcohol based so they flow extremely well. The Full Metal Paint is also loaded with pigments so opacity is still maintained.
I also tried them out on some wood panels with the add on strong hair nibs (mohair). The flow was slowed down, so not nearly as many drips, but the mop still wrote fine and now can be used on nearly any surface. Overall, I was very satisfied with this formula and the performance of the mops. Plenty of drips to go around, and lots of smooth writing without any compromise on opacity.

the grog mops are my favorite mops. The 10mm one is great and the 5mm mini one is a great edc. But in my opinion the FMP is shitty. I run my grog mops with a 50/50 mix of OTR Flowpen Ink and OTR Soultip Paint. This is the ultimate paint and ink mixture.

I just bought in too Grog paint and I'm a big fan! It's an Enamel Paint so it's Thicker than most Graff paints. But it isn't for the Ignorant. Meaning that if you are in any way observant, you can tell the paint needs some HEAVY Shaking! The white power, or Resin, or Pigment really needs to get mixed in to the whole paint, and NO VIDEO including this one has done that. I can tell because of how Streaky/ watery your tags came off. I very much recommend Graffiti Taggers to also order up Ball Bearings from Amazon to add to this paint and to anything DIY you will no doubt get in too. I first started with OTR 901 SoulTip paint but the color I wanted was bought out. And I found a site with Grog for 56% off so I got 8 bottles of the stuff. I used some of it vanilla to test it and that's when I found out just how really good it is when it's mix very well. VERY Thick, Glossy, And Opacity. I mix my paints/Inks. I am currently using Clockwork Orange Grog, mixed with the 50ml of 901 Blazing Red I had left over, about 30ml of Pilot Red Ink, 10ml of Red Magic Ink, and 50ml of Red MARSH Red Stencil Pigmented Ink. My final mix will end up being all the same minus Magic Ink as it's too expensive to waste witg the others when they all do the same job. So that mix is Grog FMP, Pilot Ink(Xylene Based), and MARSH! Grog for Body thickness, Pilot for Color enhancing from Orange to Red, Staining, and Thinning the overall body allowing the full Pigments in Grog to mix easier and faster, and Marsh for color enhancing and adding some UV Resistance to the overall Ink Paint since Pilot has absolutely Zero UV Resistance.

quick note on the buff 13:16 : just tested it myself because i wondered why you had such a hard time cleaning it- then i remembered it's an alcohol based paint, so using gasoline won't clean it (as you can see in the vid). however using ethyl-alcohol removes it in seconds (even months later it literally wipes off like it is still wet)

my experience with grog FMP is, that it is a pretty UV-resistant, glossy paint. i cannot share the experience of fading fast in the sun. it´s important to separate between paint and alcohol-based ink, i suppose people mix these up sometimes. alcohol-based inks are ALWAYS NOT uv-resistant, although the companys tell they are...

I have bought a grog FMP squeezer with Ferrari Red in it and i have only good things to say The color is opaque, it didn't fade in sunlight ,it makes really good drips,the body of the marker is fantastic as well as the nib My only complaint is that is a little bit streaky once you have used more than the half ino inside but thats normal for paint mops

Grog paint is bad. Would never recommend anyone using their paint for bombing. Fine art, sure. But this shit fades within days not even in direct sunlight, not to mention it doesn't last against rain/snow. Get OTR bout the same price but waaay better. Just to make it clear though thinned out Rusto is the absolute best for bombing. No fades, opaque, and stands up to basically all weathering. Just my 2 cents.

Have to agree on that one! The paint is really bad I once had a gold squeezer and just like your experience it faded out really quickly and I bought their buff proof ink which is... definitely not buff proof it actually buffs out itself like some acrylic paints for some reason. BUT I have to admit their squeezer is actually pretty good because you don't have to press that hard to get decent drips(bought a montana crusher which is pretty difficult to get to drip properly), just need to put some OTR paint in it like u said!

At least the chrome is probably the worst "graffiti brand" paint ive ever used. From testing it on glossy plastic and on painted metal they both turned completely white in a few months, and thats the winter here which means its dark 12+ hours a day. The plastic test then just wiped off using my finger and the painted metal scratched off using my fingernail. DONT BUY THIS! Get something like OTR, MTN, Molotow or something actually worth your money

I've got a bottle of Montana black paint ink in the Easter yellow color and let me tell you it is as opaque as you could ever want a yellow to be it just doesn't flow too well out of valve action markers it's better suited for a mop

I have a 5 mm and a 10 mm. The only problem is with the 5 is that the nib wore away quite easily. The paints and inks only really stain on wood I have found.

I bought a grog mini 10 and the nib ripped p quick. Picked up some of those mohair replacement nibs and had a huge issue with it actually transferring a decent amount of paint. I took out the plastic piece inside the nib and poked some holes in it with a safety pin which helped a ton but it’s still kinda weak. Also got a 25 that is decent but was having transfer issues with that as well, so I just took out the plastic piece on that one too. I’m hoping that will fix the issues I’m having. All that being said, I do really love my mini 10 but can’t say too much about the 25 yet.

FMP can be streaky in a felt-tip marker. better to use XFP by GROG or any alcohol-based ink or a thin oil-based like magic-ink. check the art primo yt-channel, they explain a lot....
