5:31 I think your usage of the term “AI safety” is confused. As in “AI shouldn't destroy humanity” (actual safety) vs “AI shouldn't generate offensive content” (brand safety). I don't suppose that whatever problems Musk had with OpenAI were about the latter.

This is such cope. Elon got mad because OpenAI refused to let him helm it and combine it with Tesla. That's it. He doesn't give a damn about either types of safety you mentioned, just like he says he's a "free speech" guy while he made Twitter posts saying "cisgender" get flagged. He's a fraud.

Well, not gonna lie i sometimes get annoyed about the answers chatgpt gives at times. And if what other programmers are saying is true about llms/other models peaking, then its conceivable that all the models will be roughly equal at some point in the near future if you don't already consider them roughly equal now... (and provided no major breakthroughs happen). But at the moment, image gen is not really something that I use at all since I don't do anything in my job related to graphic/image design. But perhaps once grok gets better and is on par with chatgpt then it might be worth switching, but paying for x subscription might be too weird to do...
