Something I’ll always remember about sherm is the nfc championship against the packers. First drive makes an amazing pick on Aaron Rodgers throwing to davante in the end zone. After that looked like the packers made a decision not to throw near him again for the rest of the game. Then I think early 4th quarter Jordy Nelson catches a pass and sherm is in pursuit since he’s running into his zone, kam gets there the same time and hyper extended Sherman elbow when it got caught between kams helmet and Nelson’s back. Sherman went down and popped r back up refusing to let the trainers look at it, not only stayed in to finish the game but made a game saving tackle basically one handed to force the packers to punt the ball back. Honestly that whole defense that day was amazing, after watching your offense have 5 turnovers a lot of guys would’ve been like fuck it, not gonna happen for us today and just take the L and finish out the game. But not a single dude looked like they even took a play off let alone phone it in when the team couldn’t get any momentum on offense. Such a crazy finish.

What's funny is Andrew Luck said in an interview that he was the fastest reciever on the team at Stanford and he had a hard time getting the ball to him on time. I think that knee injury he had took away a bunch of his speed and that's why he switched to DB.
@yhnujmik987Күн бұрын
Nah. I'm a Seahawks fan, but a corner just can't have as much impact on the game as someone in the box. You can take away their best receiver, maybe even take away big chunk of the field in zone, but they can always run the ball or throw somewhere else. A corner can do his job perfectly and the other team can still make plays. A dude who can get after the QB, and also make plays vs the run, is more impactful every single down. I would always take someone like Reggie White, Lawrence Taylor or Aaron Donald over a corner.
