I have a strong sense that I was almost abused in this way. A teacher who was later exposed as having had an affair with his girlfriend’s 16 yo daughter (he eloped and married the girlfriend’s daughter when she turned 16). He’d been living with her and her mother for several years prior to that. He was my teacher years earlier, as a 10 year old. I was one of his “favorites.” One day he held me back after school and invited me to stay behind after school where he’d work with me on a play called “Rebel.” But i wasn’t allowed to tell anyone. He then completely dropped it and never brought it up again. Must have figured it was too big of a risk. Years later when the news about him marrying a 16 year old, i remembered his “special treatment” and realized he was likely grooming me for something. I fortunately was never touched.

I was groomed by two of my teachers in high school. I actually was all over the news because of one of them and the other took off and moved to Hawaii so he was never brought up. I had s*xual relations with both. It was so embarrassing having news cameras chasing me after school, newspaper writers reaching out to me, school papers written about me and the whole nines. What’s worse is they arrested the first one (gym/weights teacher) and he went out in handcuffs, but the following day he was back at school. Which is wild itself. Till this day I cannot find any information on any of it. It’s like it all disappeared. I still have the school paper and newspaper on it but it’s vanished as far as online or anything else goes. More teachers prey on students than anyone wants to admit. They flirt and then they try to play victim. I was young, vulnerable, and was already in a dark place and they just took advantage of that. I can’t go back now but I wish I could.

I was sexually abused by my adopted father. I will forever be negatively changed by what he did and got away with. I had a mother figure and gudiance counselor that was loving and supportive. I also had two mental health counselor that was supportive and helpful. Always know there is hope to heal and live and happier life.❤❤ I don't believe that you can really fully heal because of the flashbacks and nightmares.😅😢

I was in UK, I had an employee who met her boyfreind when he was 27, she was 14 at the time, and there they were in Tradega Wales , him 50, she 37, No law ever bothered looking at it... There are countless relationships in the UK that would fall under peadophilia, going on consensually.....

My sister died when she was 15, because she was being bullied after kids found out at her school that “ the cool teacher” unalived himself because they had been having an affair for a few years, a few months later she left the same way he did. But it’s very true they look for girls that aren’t getting their needs met at home and they go after them. I wish I was a better older sister but it’s a very complicated situation. We both were hurt by older men who we thought were safe. I still fight my demons, but I am thankful she is at peace, but I would rather her be here, never met him and we could be talking about wedding gowns or all the amazing things she was doing. Schools really need to do a very detailed look into the people they are telling the children it’s okay to trust.

How sad that you think it LOL funny and that you are so clueless as to think that these inexperienced children wanted those things to happen to them. They trusted these adults and in turn, they were abused. To tell others that these things happened to them took a tremendous amount of courage and in doing so might help others recognize what could happen to them if they are not aware of the possibility. They are not crying wolf, but now that they are older and stronger, want to make sure these monsters finally pay for taking their innocence away and giving them consequences for their disgusting abuse.

These, and the huge number of similar experiences from people from all corners of our pale blue dot, are exceptionally difficult glimpses of the suffering and loss that the victims of predators experience. I wish that there were mechanisms in place which can hold every predator accountable through not a slap on the wrist but with a prison sentence that matches the crime, a crime where its victim can and does spend a lifetime recovering from (sometimes, never recovering). Maybe, we'll get to a just system sometime in the near future. Yet, looking at who are in positions of power and authority and looking at those who are hopeful to get into such positions, I will not be holding my breath. 😢 Much love and more to the survivors of predators. May you have already found or may you find safe people and environments to heal within and to live life as you so choose to. 🌸
