I am absolutely uphauled by the condition of this sweet dog! 🐕 I definitely agree with many other’s opinions that this poor pup was afraid of his owner and wasn’t overly happy when you guys took him back home to that man. The dog was tormented by those awful mats of hair, they pull on the skin and cause terrible pain and sores on the skin. I felt so bad, I wanted to reach through the screen and slap that dog’s owners face and ream him out for allowing that poor little dog to suffer that much. Then I wished I could take that sweet pup and make him mine. 😢💔 It truly broke my heart that he was in so much pain with those horrific mats on his skin. I’m forever grateful you guys took such good care of him. He looked like a completely different animal when you got done. It’s so great to see people care. ❤

I just watched the video and that dog looks very distrusting of the male owner and was trying to be submissive and was unsure what the man was going to do. I saw the way that dog looked up at that man. It appears, to me, that he has been mistreated and that is why he reacted to you trying to pet his head. It was very wise to have Alek do the entire groom. I figured that you both must have assessed his fear of men. It makes me sad for that to happen but that pup can overcome the fear when in the right family who is willing to work with him. I know because my husband and I adopted a Field Spaniel through the vet hospital I worked for. My dog did have an owner and I called him and he wasn't interested in coming to get her. It took her a year to stop shaking just being around my husband but then he won her over with his kindness and she had a good life with us for 13 years.

God Bless you TG for ppl like you if ppl can’t pay for there dogs to get done learn how to do it yourself like I did I got my own stuff and started doing my dog only because the groomer cut him It was as big as a half dollar under his paw She never told me and it got infected. I was so upset I had to take him to the vet, so I got mad and went and got my own stuff to groom him and learn how to do it and he looks just as good

No, a good owner would have gone and explained their situation to the groomers in the area and asked if there was anyway they could help them with the dog’s grooming needs. That or they would have rehomed the dog if they knew they couldn’t adequately care for it.

Thank you for the wonderful work you do and the kindness you show to dogs and to people. Thank you very much, too, for sharing the story of the owners and how he came to be like this. It’s so easy to shame folks but I don’t think that helps the animals in the end. I’m sure some of the owners you help are indeed not worried about the condition of their dog, but I bet that many have a similar story to this one. They could have passed by the injured pup, or they could have picked him up and taken him the vet but not chosen to help him because they didn’t have the money. And biggest of all is that they considered finding him a home that had more resources to care for him. That’s a very hard thing to consider - that the best thing you might do for someone you love is to place him elsewhere. If we suddenly had no money and were forced to give up our pets I think it might tear us up. God bless you for helping not just the pups but the people. And for maybe making good dog owners out of folks who were indifferent or unthinking
