I am always amazed at how much work goes into the restoration of small objects that look like junk! You are very talented & capable. I remember purses like that back around 1977, we used to call them "disco" purses. A lady would wear them to go dancing without having to take a handbag with her. There was enough room for a lipstick and some cash. Watching from South Florida,USA.

Hi from the UK 🇬🇧. This restoration is stunning, it looks to be late 18th to early 19th century to me. This style became popular again in the 70s, but this to me looks like an original piece. It is a beautiful part of history and thanks to your work, we can see it at its original beauty.

Mesmerising. The direction, propping, quality of your filming and your production and sound/audio values are all outstanding. My mother would have called this an evening bag, a jewel-like tiny purse on a long chain to take into an evening function such as a white or black tie dinner, or a dance. The discovery of the lady’s name, Alina, on a tiny scroll inside a rusting locket, is the start of a classic novel. I found it touching and rather emotional when you placed it back inside at the end. Alina is looking down on you, smiling, with a tear in her eye.

Woah I was blown away when the note was unrolled and had my name written on it. definitely cool. Great work!

I have an old turn of the 20th century French purse, comprised of cellulose and silver. It’s one of my favorite things because it’s so beautiful, and things like that just aren’t produced like that anymore. It has intricate little hand etching to make it look like ivory. It’s absolutely a treasure and I love that you find items like that, and give them back the beauty they once had. They will never be reproduced as beautifully, in my eyes. ❤

I’m very glad you returned that slip of paper, with the name on it, back to the owner. Some people might not care about something that comes along with antiques like that, but when it does, it gives that item character, a story. We may not know or have confirmation of the whole story but we have a name. It’s not everyday you have or find an antique that comes with a name. Very good restoration by the way, really made it shine!
