I was just thinking the same thing. It's a pity the groom is free or they never would have brought him in. A pity Damjan can't take him and report negligence. The dog seems thin and the owner wouldn't speak English. I'm so upset about it. Do they have laws in Serbia about neglect of animals? He is such a a darling dog and my rescue is lying on the bed with her own pillow eating a Milk Bone. Lucky girl. Oh I hope the vet can report him ! His coat is so different, soft and lovely. I bet he stays outside.

Damjan, he appears to have a growth on his back. You have no doubt mentioned it and I missed hearing it. The vet will know and take a specimen. I don't want this beautiful boy going back to that awful farm or wherever he came from. They wouldn't care about the lump and his fur will soon cover it. I hope the vet can prevent the man having him back. He just came because it's free. Most of your clients have no homes and no one to live them. I admire you and Sanja so much. Is this video shown in Serbia? I hope so and that the owner and friends see it. Shame on him. I go without so my rescue dog has everything she needs. $1500 for 10 teeth extracted!! She also has a heart murmur which I worry about. You are so smart with your business. It's pity you are the only one giving free grooming to dogs with owners and the lost and needy dogs especially. This is sheer neglect and made me angry. A pity you can't keep him for a better home. xx🇬🇧🐾🐾

i think, he has a good owner. else he would not be at damians salon to be taken care of. maybe the owner is poor and cannot pay more often for a groom, but a bad owner would not care about the fur of his dog. the behaving of this dog is really great and thats a great indication of how the owner treats his dog. there is no fear in this dog and no bad behavior. this dog is lucky. maybe there is not as much food as he needs and grooming only once a year - but his owner takes care of him and loves him.

Damjan, I have never heard you so angry and horrified at the condition this sweet dog is in. I know I would be angry too. In the UK we would report the condition of the dog to our RSPCA or SSPCA who deal with cruelty, neglect ie animal welfare. I am so glad Lucky has you to look after him and also be his voice. Lucky is so cute and he looks so relieved to have that stinking mass of hair away. Thank you for being there for Lucky, he is in your safe hands. The most caring action his 'owner' could take is to give Lucky up for rehoming with good people.

Thank goodness you are able to put the dogs emotions ahead of the disgusting situation. And you still can think about checking that the blade is not too hot and then it’s clean etc. that Hass to help the dog mentally. You just did something that will always make me like an admire you. You didn’t realize it but you needed to cough and when you did you moved your head so that you did not cough in the dog ear. Very thoughtful.

Here in the U.S. we don't seem to have these type of dogs.. I have yet to see one or meet one of these dogs in person..I guess they are popular in Europe..they look like beautiful dogs with a peaceful personality..must be a great family dog.

Yes Lagotto Romagnolo is a great family dog, very cute, always active and ready to play even when it's old! We had female Lagotto for 13 years (adopted!) This breed of dog is knowing for finding truffles 😅, so they're digging and digging everywhere, even at home! 😂 Adorable dog!

This is a hard walk to take When I was grooming our shop had a couple of”once a year dogs” if you get cross with the owner, maybe they don’t come back and the poor dog gets more neglected! You did right You do the very best you can for the dog and encourage the owner to come back sooner! It is still heartbreaking to see I hope the owner takes your advice to heart!

I always love to see a pet go back to their owner. But in this case, I truly believe this baby would be better off with another family 💜 It’s very obvious that this owner can not take care of him.
