Love that he still has his tail. I also like how you trim just enough, so he still has his Aussiness! 😊🐾I’m keeping my Aussie’s fur too. Eventually I’ll be combing it and combining with wool and angora to spin and then weave. Their fur has almost the same loft as angora. Love this! Thanks!

Wonderful grooming demo! Love that you show lots of sensitivity to Mochi’s comfort.❤ Our WBCR rescue, Trip, is a black and white BC/AuCaDo-Aussie. His build is very similar to Mochi’s, tail included:) But he looks more BC, so for years I kept him in long feathers because for some reason I got stuck on the idea that only a “natural” BC look would do. One day it dawned on me: WHY am I putting him (and me) thru the ordeal of maintaining it?! So now we do just as you do-I use all the same tools you do to remove loose undercoat and keep legs neatly trimmed, front and back. (I also take Trip to a groomer on a fairly regular basis as she can blow out more undercoat than what I can achieve with the shedding comb.) Trip is clearly happier in a neat trim, and he looks so much nicer. Best, life is easier for us both. I like how you shape Mochi’s belly and tail too. Now I see how nice it looks on Mochi, we’ll give that a try! Thanks for the inspiration. Hats off for doing a beautiful job with minimal stress. I look forward to exploring your channel! 🐾💕

@@thegoodfloof I sure am so thanks for the tip! R+ is so key to everything. Trip came to me with long, hairy feet, a long, matted tail and a strong aversion to grooming tools. Using a clicker, lots of treats plus social learning alongside my other dog he was soon desensitized and counter-conditioned to enjoy the grooming experience. Good grooming is so important to dogs’ health & wellbeing so again, great job showing how it’s done!

Glad I watched this. My BC needs some trimming but I won't take her to a groomer.

He's so pretty. What a beautiful dog. I have a toy Aussie. Well aware of the fluff.

Thank u! Omg a toy aussie is what inspired me to want an aussie! I used to walk the cutest little guy 🥰 but yes the fluff doesn’t discriminate toy, mini, standard😂
