Grooming Nina the Shih Tzu | Kitty Talks Dogs - TRANSGROOM

Do you want to know how to groom the Shih Tzu in a fast, easy and commercial way? This is the video to watch! Certified dog groomer Kitty Dekeersgieter grooms Nina the Shih Tzu with the help of the Heiniger Opal clippers and attachment combs. This way she doesn't have to use the grooming scissors as much. The scissors are used for finishing and making sure there's no more hair sticking out. At the end, to doll Nina up a bit, she curls the hair on the ears and puts on a bowtie!

Hello Cindy, Thank you for your question. Happy to help you further. In this video i am using attachments combs : transgroom.com/en/products/show-tech-pro-blades-ss-snap-on-comb-set-9pcs You (or the owners) can decide the length you want to create. In this video i am using different lengths : 19mm,16mm en 9 mm.. Depending on what you want to create and with the snap on combs you can change easily the lengths . We are not shaving them down, but creating a commercial model en work faster with this way .

Hello Anne, we are using the Yento Sparkle scissors and the Yento Ergo Line special blender in this video. You can find all the used products in the description. The Yento Sparkle series would be good for Yorkies, but the Yento Ergo Line series is more for thick coats and heavy-duty work. For finer coats and finishing work we suggest the Yento Cobra series and the Yento Fanatic series. Kind regards

Hi there, Jamie! Yes, you can! You can use a straightener or a curling tool on long hair. If you're just starting out with these tools, we do suggest you work with two groomers so you don't accidentally burn the dog. Good luck and kind regards

@@jamiehankins1058 No, you shouldn't use a straightener on a poodle. The poodle's hair needs to be straightened by brushing the curls out under hot air. You can however use it on their ears or tail if the hair is very long there. A straightener is more for long coats that needs to fall down, like Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Shih Tzu, etc. Kind regards

I wouldn't worry about that, we groomers are constantly disinfecting between every dog in the tub, on the table, in the kennels, etc. The disinfectant kills everything, and she is working alone.

I just don’t like how she thinks- the bleeding, cutting almost to the vein? This can lead to infection… A great professional dog groomer won’t do that. ! Period.
