Man, you've got one of the best looking beards I've seen in a long time, and I ain't no spring chicken! I've been letting mine completely go for almost a year now. If I pull it out straight, it's getting pretty close to where I want it to be, but its literally a wild mess! Going every which way! My hair is pretty much straight. Sure as heck can't say that about my beard though. It's bottom hair line, where it stops growing from, reaches to the bottom of my collarbone. So it's not like it ain't thick.

Good tip. I like this method alot . My beard length these days are down to my upper chest, however it curls back up. With this method my beard looks fuller, retains alot more moisture and no fly aways. The trade off is that the ends are knotted up because I don't comb all the way through but it's ok because at night I comb all the way through and braid it up. So far with this method there no to minimal breakage during the quick tune up before I head out the door Props.

More Alpha you don’t have to cut and start over for breakage. Do a deep condition ( I have a video out on my process) them make sure you condition only wash at least 4x per week. If your already doing all the right things and still getting these results switch your products up! You may need to try some new stuff! Let me know if it works and what you decided 👊🏾

Hey man. First so thank you for doing this. Second I'm a 100% African and my beard coarser then most African Americans. I get a lot of breakage no matter what I do. I've followed all your recommendations but my beard is stuck at length especially under my chin. It is not long enough to twist. Can you recommend anything else that may help me. Thank you for you time.
@sitoudanhounsrou84566 жыл бұрын
Also I stopped raising my beard daily. I just use detangler and leave in conditioner so the water doesn't make it curl up. It's that a good thing or should the product build up hurt my beard?
@BeardedExistence6 жыл бұрын
Sitou Danhounsrou no you have to wet your beard at least 1xper day! Water is one of the only things that actually moisturize your beard. Curling after getting wet is just one of the struggles you have to deal with until your beard is long enough to twist. Breakage is one of the symptoms of a dry beard and what you just mentioned is probably drying your beard out. At the stage that you are at I used straight African shea butter because it’s thick and heavy if you apply it to a damp beard then add beard oil it will give you a little more hang time and lock in the moisture.You have to just go though this rough stage!👊🏾

I don’t get as much breakage like I use to but I do have some split ends and I’m afraid to ask my barber to cut them because he seem to take to much off, need some serious advice on how to cut my own split ends
@BeardedExistence6 жыл бұрын
ondra gibbs you can cut the spits individually with scissors a little above the split or if it’s really bad you can do like a 1/4 or 1/2 inch all around trim!👊🏾

Whats up my brother, I just went back and watch your past videos, I’ve realized I’ve been pretty much everything wrong, over combining etc + I’ve been using a face wash that’s been f***ing up edges and drying my beard. I work in construction so I need a face wash so i will like to know what you would recommend. Respect ✊🏾

Does twisting help in the growth process??
@BeardedExistence5 жыл бұрын
Not really it’s mostly a grooming technique it makes my beard easy to comb in the morning and stretches the hair out almost like if it were blow dried. It is a protective style so it will help your beard retain moisture and hold the products in while you sleep

Man love your beard. I’m a 53 white man been growing mine out for 10 months now. In my opinion black men can grow a more perfect beard than a white man can, they just look so much more fuller.

@BeardedExistence have you ever relaxed, straightened or permed your beard before? Almost looks like it has been before. Just asking bro. No disrespect
@BeardedExistence6 жыл бұрын
uzikwendu onunaku no I love my beard texture I would never use a relaxer besides the fact that stuff is str8 poison! It only looks like that because I twist it at night when it’s damp and take the twist out in the morning! If it were to get wet at any point it would curl right back up! No disrespect taken fam it’s all luv here we can chop it up that’s what this channel is for!!👍🏾👍🏾👊🏾

why do you twist your beard?
@BeardedExistence6 жыл бұрын
Sam Duran protect it at night keeps it moist and easier to managed in the morning. It’s gives the grooming effect of using a blow dryer and I don’t have to worry about heat damage👊🏾
