Howdy Jeremy. You're the first person who turned me to beard care a few years back. So much so, that I created a channel here in Brazil to talk about beard care and products. Thanks man!!! Your channel is awesome. Beard, whiskeys and cigars.

I have had a beard since 1980. Your previous video and this one have been a real help since I am growing it longer. I used to keep it short, however, I really like a longer beard. I apprecieate the Utility Series as the wash and softner have worked wonders. Keeping it coming. FYI - My wife loves my beard and basically told me If I shave it off - bye bye. LOL

I've pretty much always had a short beard since I was old enough to grow one and never had to do anything except keep it trimmed for it to look good. Just over a year ago I decided to let it grow. No one in my family has a beard, nor do any of my friends. I had no idea about beard products like oils and balms and different shampoos/conditioners for beards, so it has basically been a mountain man look. You hit the nail on the head with your comment about that look. So I'll just call it a rookie mistake and move forward. In the last week I've been watching a lot of beard tip videos and I'll give you some props yours is up there among the best of them. So, thank you for your service my guy it was very educational and I'm glad I came across your video 🤙🏻

Wife bought me a beard straightener, the brush kind that heats up. I thought at first it was a joke, then I used it. I will almost always use that if only because it softens the beard up, but also straightens it. Which, ultimately helps right before I go and put face paint in my beard for soccer games. Regardless, love my beard straightener and all the beard products I have been trying out lately.

By far the advice in Jeremy’s videos aligns with the way I take care of my beard. Showering, drying, oil, balm 100%. Would be lost without some hot air and the beard clip too. I am still waiting to bump into another aussie with a clip but maybe one day. Best beard videos on KZbin by a mile. Thanks for the advice. Think I might give the band a go too instead of the clip. Looks a little gentler on the beard 👍

1000% agree on the blow dryer brush thing. That was the one thing that made me keep my beard. I have the Aberlite Pro heated brush that’s like $120 and it doesn’t hold a candle to the $40 blow dryer brush. We have a really similar beard style - but mine isn’t as long as yours. About 7 inches or so. (Giggity)

Hey Jeremy, I’m regularly watching your videos and love the content you put out. I was wondering if you had a video on how to trim (or shape) your beard as it grows. It took me a while to learn how to trim for growing it out to moderate length - moderate meaning you can’t really see my neck from the front. Also, even though my beard holds well without balm, I work in healthcare and often use balm on workdays because it helps keep form in the mask - and of course I carry my handy comb.

Like you, I have my own company and I just can’t meet (potential) customers or reps while looking scruffy AF. I go to a barber every 5 weeks or so to get everything done by a pro and in between I groom it myself. It’s not that hard to do, and you just look better doing it.

My man, I’ve been rocking the full beard for 10 years now and I thought nobody can teach me anything at this point, but you did it again and just took my game to the next level! I was drying it aggressively with the towel, and makes a lot more sense to get rid of the excess of water first and be gentle. Also I,ve been brushing it from the top and man the knots at the bottom always make loose a couple of hairs. And last but not least I’m a hair dryer player, love it, but tomorrow I’m definitely trying my wife’s heated round brush!! 😂 #boldfortune #manmane PS. Finally you changed the strat for a real one! 😂😂 #LesPaul

Oddly, I have had a beard since give/take a goatee which turned into a beard when I was married in 2012. I have trimmed it down, with the help of my son who was 2-3 at the time, he is 5 now, and he thought it was so neat to cut the hair off. But I think it's always a good idea to take a video/pic of what you look like and use it to know when to "tidy" up the beard. Like you were saying, I think I would often look pretty scary when I went to UAE for work and people thought I was a local or at least their version of a mountain man! We went to Ireland a few weeks after and had a gooooood trim(see profile pic) of how it turned out. The before and after pic was so funny! I was almost embarrassed of how I looked, but lucky the beard and a few other modest qualities is why the wife married me. And lets admit it, as long as she enjoys the beard, what other reason is there? #beardfortune #manmane

Years ago when I had a beard I used Honest Amish balm (on Amazon), Grave Before Shave oils, and a boar hair brush. Funny but the trimming guidelines are what I did just because it looked good. Maybe I should grow it out again. I mean, my kids thought I was constantly pissed off but whatever.

I'd high recommend Chicago combs they're carbon fiber and they're great quality. I was using Kent combs for a while but once you get to a medium length beard and a large length they just don't cut it anymore. I'd recommend the number 8 comb it has a handle and wider teeth so if you're someone like me who has more natural curly hair. It works wonders

Once in a bar, there were two young couples (2 shaved guys with 2 young women) staring at me without taking their eyes off me. I said to myself "Hmm hmm I see what they are saying to each other, they are certainly mockers and jealous people." Then leaving the bar, one of the two couples said to me "Hey man, you have a very nice beard!" then the others said "heck yeah!" It was, I think, the most ice-breaking thing I have experienced. In my humble opinion, no one should judge by other people's eyes.

As a bloke thats had a beard on and off from 2000 (age 16, I was a VERY mature kid) to full time short beard life in 2011-2018 till finally committing, I wish I had this kind of advice years ago. I genuinly thought that I was an outlier in having to blow-dry and nobody except my wife knew I did. I have to say, since around 2010, I've garnered a hell of a lot more attention from women and also seem to be taken far more seriously by new people I've met in mining/oil+gas/marine jobs...

Yeah man, genetics play a huge part in what kind of beard folks can grow. I actually have a good bit of Native American and Irish in my bloodline also, so kinda surprised mine is as thick as it is. Usually Indians don’t have very thick facial hair genetics. Sounds like your doing all the right stuff though. I’d say just give it a few months to grow and see where you are at. Sometimes thin spots can fill in over time. Also smaller patchy areas can get covered as the hair gets longer. Good luck brotha. 👍🏻

Never trim your beard, when it grows very long and thick it will be naturally even not messy, it will look wild until its at full length. Trim only your mustache. Drink alot of water plenty sleep vitimins d and c. Have patience ignore it for a year or longer, also be careful sometimes yiu can't dress and style the way women want you to look, I dress the way I want too, and if anyone doesn't like it screw them. Some beards look so fake the way they are trimmed, look so phony its just not you its the barber, or the way you think women like you lol. Women like pink shirts etc.. on a guy too. be you, be a free rebel, never feminine thats for the snowflakes, followers, or libs..be you the Mega man

You may want to look into the supplement called L-carnitine L-tartrate (LCLT) because it is an androgen receptor booster. The way the theory goes is that many men have plenty of testosterone, but the hair follicles don't have the receptors to bind with T so they never develop. Supposedly this is common with men in East Asia, and Native Americans are supposed to be descendants of those from East Asia. Look it up and see if it makes sense to you.
