Strongly recommend Carpow's Kilat Session.. superbly well done.. only cost $35 for Medium sized car. Got outlets at Yishun and Bukit Batok(i think..) I made it a once a mth routine to drive down from SengKang for a Kilat session..

Just want to say some thing here. I've been working as a car wash at petrol station for 11 years and also there's good and bad Thing washing at the patrol station because during the busy time,we had to rush the washing as that's just how we do it when there's a long quee but when there's not much car in the line ,we usually give our 100% to make sure the car is super clean .

My suggestion, go for coating once, then just go for normal car washes, then probably, go for maintenance with the detailer once yearly before holiday season so your car is bling bling. Pricing for coating is quite competitive now, so worth doing it.

its good to do a full decontamination of the car once a year to maintain the paintwork. starting with chemical decontamination like tar remover and iron remover. then continue with physical decontamination with clay bar. this will help the car achieve that smooth show room surface again. one step polish then protection with a wax or sealant is recommended.

every year full decontamination is excessive i feel.. you will strip off the thin layer of clear coat (the coat that makes your car shinny) each time you do decontamination. I suggest every 3 years....

Jon, use a clay bar! That's what detailer do before polishing/waxing. These clay bars can be purchased from those car shops and even petrol kiosks. It can pull out these 'bumps' you are talking about. But be sure to watch a KZbin on how to do it with soap and all

i think the rule of thumb is to wash weekly and and claybar it. i will spray sealant once a month for my baby. the more you drive and expose to the weather, the more you need to take care.

You can solve your rough paintwork by doing claybar. The rough paint feel is paint that has stuck to your paint and to remove it is claybar

i think ceramic coating is your answer Jon.... but you still need to wash your car often to maintain the silky smooth feel.

Ceramic coating to car is like screen protector to hp. Must do it first. And then u can try washing/detailing/maintaining the car urself using convenient products for that shine and gloss. Nowadays, most product are spray and wipe clean. Very simple. Petrol kiosk wash is not recomended as u dunno how clean their micro fiber cloth are and may add more swirl marks to ur car.

I wash my car 14 times a week. Once in the afternoon during lunch at work. Once at night after I get home. Weekends I do 2 washes 12 hours apart. Every 1 year I do ceramic coating. I drive Porsche 991.2 Turbo S.

@@WesFx What do you drive? Maybe if you had something nicer you’d try more. I only work 25 hours a week and have 3 other cars that I meticulously clean. In fact, I also use 3 hired cleaners to wash and maintain my house every 5 days. I go over every corner in my house and even mop the garage regularly.
