Not sure why you’re calling this D Dorian. It’s clearly in A minor.

D Dorian is actually the same scale as a minor. D Dorian is comprised of the C major scale, emphasizing the 2. That being said, A minor also being the same scale as C major pretty much means D Dorian, and A minor use the same exact scale, just emphasizing different notes. Hope I explained that well enough without getting too wordy!

@@patrickcasey357 And this is the correct answer. The tonal center here is A, not D. Yes, it starts in D but the whole thing is centered around A.
