Maurane is on the left, she was one of the very best friend of Lara, from their yourh in Belgium. She died suddenly 4 years ago. R.I.P. Jean-Felix Lalanne is a very famous classic guitarist in France and was Lara’s boyfriend at that time. Lara wrote the song with Rick Allison. The lyrics she wrote are so poetic, this was a huge success in France. Astonishing harmony example of similar voices. Lara and Maurane used to sing this one in every Lara’s concert and the first concert after Maurane’s death, she sang it alone, almost crying, with a big photo of Maurane in rhe background. @@ericsicard910 My mama was a trained contralto basso/"lady bass." (I'm just a not very trained plain old contralto.🥲😆). She set my ear for soothing female voices. Until I discovered Fabian, I thought I was doomed to find every single soprano, well, physically painful. I still marvel how a full lyric can sound like velvet. 🤔

I think you may be the first to react to this version with Jean-Felix Lalanne. Mauranne, another Belgian singer, like Lara, was Lara's best frind, or one of them. Lalanne at the time was Lara's boyfriend. Thus a very intimate performance. It matters. Lara was shattered when Mauranne died in 2018. The partnership she had with Mauranne's voice and tone was perfect.They are singing to each other.
