Humans WILL eat anything, at least if they don't know what it is or where it comes from. Back in the 1970's when I was in the Navy my ship deployed and we made a stop in Rota, Spain. We had liberty and a bunch of us found our way to a restaurant. It was a local place so the menus were all in Spanish. None of us spoke or read Spanish so we were making guesses at what would be good to eat. Most of us got stuff that was pretty decent. One of the guys got something that looked like onion rings and loved them. About then another group from the ship came in and one of these guys not only read and spoke Spanish, he knew what the one guy's dish was. He asked if he knew what he was eating, he said no, but that he liked it. Told him the dish was sliced and fried OCTOPUS TENTACLES! He nearly threw up on the spot. He never did finish that dish. Oops!
