Sir first question me hum sales = 400,000 ke bad opening inventory ko x man lete fir ye equation banti :- COGS => x + purchases -(x+40000) = x + 320000 - x - 40000 = 280000 GP = sales - cogs = 400000 - 280000 = 120000 Fir iske bad formula me dal skte thhe....ye method jada easy tha

But in operating ratio if G/P is 160000 then we can take out the COGS by subtracting G/P = sales - COGS Where 160000 = 800000 - COGS So, COGS = 800000 - 160000 COGS=6,40,000 THEN Operating cost = 640000 + 48000 = 688000 Then 688000÷800000×100 = 86% Operating cost = 86%
